Why would a normal person enjoy killing an animal for the sake of killing or even paying to do that?

I can understand killing a deer and than enjoying eating its meat but I don't understand killibg for the sake of killing it.

Same thing with catch and release fishing why would I catch and release a big fish, if I am going to catch a fish I am going to eat it there is no point in wasting my time and strength to catch a big fish if I am going to release it instead of eating it.
