Accounting for immigration doesn't account for the children of immigrants who would be considered full US citizens. You have to account for ethnicity. This is obviously the case in your video which really identifies the trend as starting after WW2. In other words, when there was large scale migration from all over Europe to the US, including from countries where people are genetically shorter.
