The reason they want to rename AI to SI is because there is a boat load of already passed legislation and waiting to be passed (they'd have to re-write it) legislation that defines AI. Since they want to rename AI to SI that means the previously passed AI legislation is referring to an entity that doesn't exist...so they can side-step it by calling it SI. Same reason for legislation in the waiting to be voted on, it would have to be rewritten, find the original supporters (who may now be out of office) and reintroduce it for a vote, etc...They renamed AI to SI to game the system against the will of the People.
