Early sci fi like Heart of aDog and etc is good.A lot of their stuff was better when they were well, a lot of the stuff that actually made it through the censors was better
back when they were like Communist.Unfortunately , they killed , you know , thousands of people , but the ones that remained were extremely brave
And history... it has a way of filtering out a lot of the dreck(sp?) and the common things and then you just get the very best 3 novels that were made that year or the best 10 from the 60s, from 10 years 1 a year and you're happy because you get them all at 1 time. You know, along with the 10 best from the 70s and the 10 best from the 80s, that's a really interesting part. If you look for like alternative countercultural, voices in the 80s, because the 80s are known for being really s***** and plastic and material and conformist, and all about f****** money. So when you look for in these places that aren't really known it's a countercultural times at all, and then you look for who was actually brave enough to still be counterculture and free-thinking it's some really interesting people.

I think the best Russian book is Master and Margarita. That's not even Russian Empire era.

>Good
Said no one ever

They got theyre real f****** bristly. You know, iconoclastic people, they are going along with the crowd, like the hippies kind of did like everyone was really cool with hippies. And then 10 years later, all the f****** boobers are like Wall Street, you know, conservatives and then they're all Fox News watching Republicans by now because they just go along with what everyone else is doing, and the biggest wave population wave in the while, anyways back to the topic.... you forget all the millions that were f****** horrible and just skim the cream of the crop and even dip into rare finds which have, by now, surfaced.
It makes you wonder what's going to be remembered of this time... when there's like, almost nothing even f****** less being produced. Another 80s!
Another swing back into conformiist dude bro my money my dick and my status...type bullshit.
Better what's unique and good and not everyone just running for conformity and laughing about how stupid you are to think and like art, etc.
Scurry times breed simple minds.
It is a bad thing.
Etc

Hide from the
F****** idiots.

Certainly one option.

As far as modern Russian authors, who knows.

Not Tolstoy? Not Dostevsky?
*Not Slutski?*

For me personally it was Master and Margarita >> Crime and Punishment > Dead Souls > Brothers Karamazov > Anna Karenina >> Tolstoy Short Stories > Demons > The Idiot > War and Peace > Notes from Underground. I've only read the basics when it comes to Russians, but that's how they stand for me so far.

>>
>>545201860

>>
>>545201860
Ukraine is getting invaded since 2014 by russians so they have every right to be "butthurt" about their imperialist invaders.
>>
>>545201850

>>

They were building chemical weapons, manufacturing plants and putting American bases within like 10 miles of the f****** Russian border. If you had an enemy for the last a 100 f****** years and they're putting military bases 5 miles from your f****** border, you know, like, what are you gonna do exactly when that base that's one mile from your border is now sending. Shock troops into your country. You're gonna do the same thing that they were doing that to germany or wherever the f*** you're actually at you would hope the people around you would hope that you would change your tune and go , you know , what , maybe we should build some kind of like gate or something along one of the largest land borders in the world , between hostile countries, next to like mexico and america , you know
>>

Ah yes, the country that produced war and peace, fathers and sons, dead souls, oblomov, hero of our time, and the master and margarita has produced nothing of value, meanwhile the Czechs gave us…uhhhhhhhhhhh

Babichka I guess?

Canada. At least the Ukrainians are trying to kill the Russians as an expression of their asshurt, Canada is at such a level of seethe that they're killing THEMSELVES to own the Americhuds
>>
russian/slavic fatalism is fascinating to read about or hear stories. it's just who they are and to outsiders, it just seems ludicrous and interesting. russian composers are also basically extensions of literature

Prague is a kino city, plus the Hussites didn't give a fuck and went to war with like half of Europe for the sake of their proto-protestant faith and won, which is based
>>
>>545202643
The point is that he says Russian literature has no value, which is beyond absurd.

LMFAO imagine being at war with a country, and then posting on Twitter "Their books suck too actually"

When I was in school (that was before 2014),
we were taught russian literature.
It was always crap.
Exactly the kind that the ziggers are trying to promote.
