Is US culture more “made up”than other countries? I’m starting to realize that every country has its own made up rules- its own subtle or overt narratives and propaganda, its own BS essentially..but is American culture more made up than any other country? I’m starting to reevaluate my entire life and most of the beliefs i held growing up just seem like programming now and a handful of traditions that seemed meaningful at the time but were just a handful of generations old. Basically I’m wondering if there are any aspects of American culture, or beliefs or our lifestyle which is worth salvaging or holding on to. Or if it’s all just a bunch of modern consumerist brainwashing and bullshit. It seems like there is something sad depressing or rotten hidden underneath every aspect of our society thay I used to like or used to take comfort in. Is it something unique about the US or is it just the way most countries are?
>>545191259I think everywhere it's a mix of programming and traditions, but the ratio varies. Here in Italy I think there's more tradition and shared values than consumerist brainwashing, but there's also a huge part of "self-gaslighting" and self-aggrandizing, for lack of better terms, which I find stupid and gay. I haven't lived in the US so I won't comment on that. I have lived in Japan though and I can say that the collective brainwashing they have over there is on a completely different level. It's quite scary.
>>545191259it's mostly bullshitKikes programmed our culture for their benefit. You must trust that the truth will be revealed to you by God
It's extremely powerful, whatever "it" is. Pseuds say the USA hasn't got one but it's the analogy of the fish not knowing what water is. The Iranians made an interesting remark though after the assassination of Soleimani, the USA doesn't have an equivalent to heroes of this type they could assassinate back, the closest thing would be Spongebob Squarepants.
>>545191259i dont see how traditions being a few generstions old or like 500 makes a difference for you most of those traditions came from europeans anyways like Halloween

America became the lens for pretty much all culture worldwide post-WWII to the point 80 years later it's almost impossible to separate the influence of American culture on almost every single vector of culture that currently exists.
