There are rumors that the US government is going to renew its all out assault against Iran but is waiting to do it after the midterm elections. They don't want to attack Iran before the elections because it might put Republican candidates in a bad light causing them to lose to Democrat candidates.

Trump has said time and time again that the US military has already taken out Iran's nuclear program so if that is true then what is the purpose in taking this war further ramping up the attacks?
