Does /out/ reccomend a watch or have a preferred watch?Curious. I want one that is useful when I go /out/ but isn't insanely expensive so I am looking for recommendations >Inb4 someones post fathandwithrolex.png
>>2882818timex explorerit's a watch, it tells timeit's cheap enough to replace if something goes wrong.
>>2882818I use an F91W on a different strap, the other low cost Casio models are even better and offer similar if not better performance than the G-Shock line, which aren't worth the price unless you can get one for cheap. Suunto and Garmin GPS watches are also interesting but I have no experience with those.
I agree with anon about the f91w. Figure out what you want the watch for. If its just time then f91 for sure. If you're looking to track mileage and maybe health? Then try a smart watch. If your looking for a cheap smart watch and actually disconnect from the world for a bit then I would recommend fitbit inspire. This is what I started using and it was perfect, not to mention durable as I am heavy equipment mechanic and would constantly have the watch drained in oil. Please update as I am a watch nerd and would like to know what you went with. Happy trails
>>2882818Gshock square, accept no substitutes
>>2882818Timex Ironman. I got this.
>>2882818Garmin GPSEh lets me go off trail and doesnt afraid of anything
>>2882818I have a garmin instinct solar 2.Its too much money imo. But the function the watch offers is very cool.Should note that i have never once paired it to a phone. Theyre standalone and ive never had to charge it. Last time the battery was low at about 10days remaining i just put it in powersaver and left it in a sunny window for a week.I have never really had to plug it in because of this.
>>2882826I prefer a dial myself
>>2882818my Casio Protrek is still kicking.
>>2882818Casio Gshock square cheap and does the job just steal one from wmart. LED on new ones are fantastic and function as a little flashlight for inside the tent. 5-10 years on one battery cant go wrong. My daily driver.
I wear a Casio G-Shock GWM5610 for out, have done for a few years now.>Tough>Solar powered and lasts a long time, when I got it it was on medium charge, put by the window for a day and it was full and has never dropped down, even in bleak UK winters>Waterproof as deep as you'll ever go>Radio tower accuracy as long as you don't live in a backwards country like A*stralia>Cheap so if I lose it I don't careI know some people replace the straps on them but mine is still fine after a few years.
Nigger mods
>are you 12i think it looks cool
gshock with nylon straps
>>2882825This is a great answer. I had this one for years and that was went through more than most people have been through
Citizen Garrison. Great option if you prefer analog. Durable, super lightweight, keeps great time, solar powered (any light source), doesnt get in the way or snag on things easily. you can switch out the bands to upgrade it a bit if you want. I was a fan of the Timex Expedition before this watch, and I have to say this was definitively an upgrade.
>>2883650looks nice.
