Post some tunes for hanging/out/ pls. I need some more chill bluegrass type stuff in my library, preferably instrumental but with song lyrics is okay too
I tried asking for more tunes similar to this on /mu/, but r/music only knows kpop and gpop(goypop) "music" so that board is a terrible place to ask for anything good

If you're not the one playing it with an acoustic instrument while /out/, it's not /out/ music.

Bluegrass, country and folk feels like /out/ music to me, so does some ambient music. But generally i prefer without lyrics as it is less distracting

if i just want to turn my brain off I find one of those several hour Jeremy Soule ambients.
if you want more folksy theres plenty of acoustic ambient too. unfortunately not much of a bluegrass person

Great modern folk/dark folk/folk-gaze. Ethereal, melancholic goodness but a bit artsy-fartsy with the kind of depth a moody (and twee hipster) college student has. Sounds beautiful though, switch off brain.

So many great songs, stuffed with good messages and emotion.
Witch of the Westmorland is great fun. The Idiot is wholesome goodness. And I get shivers when he hits the low notes in Three Fishers at the masterfully ominous delivery "and the night rack came rolling in ragged and brown..." where all the tension built up in the introduction pays off because you know then that they're going to die. I have every album on CD.

I listen to Stan in the gym sometimes, but I can't tolerate having earbuds in when I'm moving fast and doing something really dynamic and sweaty. I take them out and I'm assaulted with absolutely vapid, talentless shit which puts his (and the band's) talent and skill into perspective.

4me its gotta add to the atmosphere of being in the forest and cant be too distracting so i mainly do ambient but i would like to find some cool instrumental bluegrass or country type tunes. I like some black metal too but i already have loads of that so not really looking there

I also like symphonic poems and find many of them suit my outdoors times. Dvorak and Sibelius both have many that I like but there are others too.

Here's a plug for old mate Norman Blake. You can pick any one of his albums and listen to them straight. Highly recommend him, one of my favourite pickers

No one is saying it, but the answer is when its White. So White that an urban nonwhite person probably wouldn't register it as music.
    >>
    >>2882876
I know what you mean and in the main I don't disagree but something like old delta blues 'front porch' blues, not the urbanized blues of later decades, is pretty /out/. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmywB9Fnfn0&list=RDFmywB9Fnfn0&start_radio=1

I think in general the only people (in the west and mainstream-ish, so not like first nations music or whatever the fuck) who are playing non-urban music are now white, and virtually all popular music is now very urban and also very back (or white people being culturally/sounding black) - this is pop, rap, r&b, drum & bass and virtually everything like that. All of the songs on the popular, younger aimed radio are black, all of the top streamed songs are black (unless there's some kpop shit in there but that's like the black of Asia). If any country song gets really popular it's probably not really country.

Most country, some rock, a lot of metal, a lot of folk is: a) mostly white and b) mostly or very often 'un-urban' in feel, subject, sound.
