why do people say the desert smells good when it rains?i was out in Arizona and Utah and whenever it rained it smelled like a public urinal

If you want good smells go look for desert rivers and washes that get water sometimes. They have such a wonderful scent. It's like what laundry detergent and shit was going for but failed to achieve. This applies to rivers in a lot of areas, not just deserts.
