Can lowered luxury trucks be the modern versions of the full size body on frame RWD v8 sedans that were lost since the 80s?
yeah pretty easily. hell you don't even need to lower them, just drive them as is. the dune runner appreciation with remote reservoirs you see on the raptor/trx/mojave are all more comfortable dailies than their non-reservoir trims
>>29138216dune runner trims, not sure how swipe to type fucked that one up
>>29138191Body on frame rwd v8 sedans existed up till the 90s anon. But no. The truck is a different experience. Primarily because it has no trunk.
>>29138226>put a bed cover and some dividersNow it's a trunk
>>29138191>lowered pickupSpicmobiles will never be attractive
No lift with 35s. Rubs a tiny bit at full lock but rubbin is racing
>>29138243Well I never thought about owning a truck in my life, never even driven one... yet that pic looks pretty cool to me.
>>29138235No it's not. It's a covered bed. Not a trunk.Do you not find it strange how hard you try to be something you're not?
>>29138312Why is the distinction so important to you? It's an enclosed cargo space segregated from the passenger compartment. That's the definition of a trunk.
I'm all for it.
>>29138191No. If it doesn't look like a sedan, then it's not a sedan. A truck doesn't drive like a sedan, it doesn't look like a sedan, and it doesn't carry the same kind of psychological experience as driving a sedan. People will tell you that pickups and crossovers filled in the void from sedans and station wagons, but that's ignoring the fact that the modern car buyer has less options to chose from. Everything feels the same except the odd sports car. but the modern man's options are diminishing. There will be no modern version of the full size body on frame RWD V8 sedan until automakers wise up and decide to attempt putting a modern full size body on frame RWD V8 sedan on the market. But that would be too bold! Can't have that now can we?
>>29138339>There will be no modern version of the full size body on frame RWD V8 sedan until automakers wise up and decide to attempt...Hence OP's premise. Next best thing.
>>29138191they should just straight up make a truck sized car on ladder framebring back the real cadillac
>>29138312I'm not trying to be anything that I'm not though.
>>29138339>>29138343This lmao. >Hey OP the truck you pointed out is not in fact a sedanWhat a revelation, i didn't know that... Almost like I'm trying to make a point about options in the current car market.
