Today I was fantasizing about what I'd get if I won the CJ Racecars $100000 dream car build. Safari style american car, think 911 Dakar. Nice and quiet on the inside, real suspension with some travel, nothing crazy power wise I want to drive it 1 million miles. AMX/SX/4, spirit wagon? I know it would be imprudent to spend $100k on a spirit. 1964 el camino? Maybe just a fox body mustang or fairmont wagon?
>>29133766For me its putting 60s race cars where they dont belongThis one is a superperformance replica,It was used in east africa rally in 2013 and 2011 la carrera panamericana by tachyon motorsportsI would also love to see a group 5 race car being made into a group b rally car, minimal changes, keep 80% of the aero kit it had
>>29133766AMC Eagle all the waydrop in AMC's own 4.0 I6, it's already bulletproof and you can stroke it to ~4.7L by swapping in the crank from the 4.2give it a more aggressive cam and you got extremely respectable power while keeping it still as reliable as cammed and stroked engines geta better Tremec 5spd, a Jeep transfer case, a Dana 30 front diff, a Ford 8.8in rear axel, and Fox coilovers and your build is just about there
>>29133766idk maybe I'd use that money to graft my van together with an old burb to create the forbidden Suburvan
>>29134718that sounds absolutely awful.do it.
>>29134778imagine! a g20 van with legroom! the suburban dashboard! an engine you can access by opening the hood instead of spending an hour fucking with the engine cover! a bed in the back! my garage would need to be elongated too in order for it to fit though....
