For my job I have to share a rental car with 2 other people including myself. The 3 of us all rotate and take turns between destinations day to day. 1 of the guys I work with is 87yrs old. When I am passenger in the car with him, for whatever reason, he consistently claims that people are cutting him off, probably every 3 to 4 days it feels. Its a pattern at this point. This combined with sudden braking makes it a genuinely nauseating experience to ride with him.

Having heard his crashouts, this made me realize I never really get cut off all that much. Maybe 4 times in the last year or so, and I drive about an hour daily in Austin traffic.

From what I've witnessed it seems as though his poor reaction time compounded with his entitlement makes it so that being a passenger while he drives a totally retarded experience to endure.

Man all you faggots do is rush to go nowhere lane switching faggot insect, old man is Right

despite prattling on 247 about how driving is the most important thing to usa and you yurocucks can't possibly understand le open road and i >neeeeed my Vehicle™ or ill die without hauling 4x8 sheets of playwood, etc. most americans are absolutely terrified of traffic

it's why trucks and suvs got big. some of it was to get around emissions laws but the consoomer only bought them because they're "safer" and "win collisions"
>>
>>29133260
Every driver in america thinks they are the best and everyone else is driving wrong.
So wrapped up in their ego, and willing to make others suffer. You believe you're right and others deserve your punishment. Reckless cut others off or passive aggressively slow others down. What a shitshow these roads have become.
>>
>>29133267
>others deserve your punishment.
You punish yourself retard, every day your automatic transmission has to put up with your retarded throttle inputs kek. When it shuts itself who are you gonna blame? The manufacturer right man kys.

True, its why they've built the suburbs.
>>
>>29133267
I'd agree, that's why it's important to have a faster car.
People don't get mad for long if you pass them and put 10 car lenghts on them before they can react.

This is hands down the weirdest english I've seen all week, and today is Sunday

Unnecessary portion from when I realized I could make 1 long sentence 2 short sentences. The mistake is authentically human.

I just wish people would stop touching the brake mid corner when doing the most pedestrian shit imaginable.

Oh no, you suddenly went 2 mph faster than you anticipated time to slam the brake in the roundabout to splatter the motorcyclist behind you so fun

NO BRAKES IN TURNS. SET YOUR SPEED BEFORE YOU ENTER THE TURN AND JUST DO IT PUSSY
>>
>>29133245
Driving below the speed limit is the worst
>>
Drivers over 65 should be required to take mandatory physical and mental exams. I'll gladly let my tax dollars go to their check ups if it means getting these decrepit bastards off the road. If you are still sharp like I know a lot of old people are then you are fine but these geriatrics that refuse to give up their license have got to go.

What kind of gigeconomy bullshit job is this?!

Probably because you run the NPC pathfinding algorithm which has you hovering 1" from the car ahead of you. Btw you drive an automatic.

But I complain about legitamite things like elderly going up the ramp at 30 mph or people jumping 6 lanes to male their exit hecause they think the signs in the air are just decoration.

Hes mexican or boomer who wasted all his cash and didnt die yet is he ?
He might be seeing things, you ever stay awake for more than a day ?
I start seeing movement in the corner of my eye,his senses are probably having a glitch and hes seeing things didnt happen
Or he might be too old and his sight and reflexes are too slow now so normal lane changes seem like being cut off

>his sight and reflexes are too slow now so normal lane changes seem like being cut off
Honestly, I think that's exactly it. It explains the sudden braking too.
>>
I don't believe there are companies in any first world countries would hire a 87yo for any job. That's like strapping a C4 of liabilities to yourself for non existence positives. Maybe 7~8 digit level consulting work that requires security clearance and previous project specific knowledge. But we all know there is no way that's you.
Just say you want to get old people off the road OP, I would agree with you.

Add downhill braking to this. I swear some people stare at the speedometer and jab on the brake when it goes 2mph over the limit.

My dad does part time driving for a dealership and his coworkers are all retired boomers. One's so old he forgets where he's going. And they send this guy out of state.
>>
>>29133797
Is it really that uncommon for people well past retirement age to have a job outside the US? There's some who work because they're bored and end up with part time hours. They don't know what to do with themselves other than acquire more garbage that will end up in an estate sale.

Just the whole "fast"/left lane shenanigans, in 99.99% of cases when people complain about lane hogging the lane is used for entire kilometers and the right lane is stuck with 100 trucks, but for some reason retards want people to pull to the right so they can get ahead

also noticed some retards get extra retarded and try to apply the "fast" lane "rule" inside cities, nigga if I'm taking a left turn up ahead I sure as shit wont bother making space for some retard who's always in a rush
>>
>>29133245
>he consistently claims that people are cutting him off
He has cateracts, or diminished peripheral vision, or his prescription is out of date, or he never checks his mirrors, or his depth perception is garbage, or even dumber: his seating position in the car is too low and he has a lot of blind spots. He's not paying attention to any of the cars in other lanes, in front of or behind him. Or making any attempt to not be an obstacle for others while on the road. And also probably isn't modulating his speed to match that of the rest of traffic.

My father-in-law similarly doesn't seem to know how to keep himself centered in a lane without having a stiff death-grip on the wheel, so he's constantly making small jerky corrective movements on the steering wheel. As a passenger it makes everyone seasick. And from the outside it makes it seem like his wheels are imbalanced as the car looks wobbly.
>>
>>29133439
it should be required to collect social security, once annual checkup for both cognitive ability and proof of life so families can't postpone filing a death certificate for over a year to keep the checks coming

lmao
>>29133846
yeah it's pretty common to work into your 70s, but past about 80 things deteriorate quickly, same pace as the person's actual ability. that's past the average life expectancy in the US for both men and women, so these workers are in death's door and should be assumed to drop at any point

Honestly whenever some fucked up shit happens to me on the road, it's always because of a middle-aged karen or a pit viper wearing tyler. olds drive slow and stupidly but in pretty predictable ways. it's the 30 Year Old Zoomer crowd who do outright crazy shit
