I want to get one of these, what should I know?
>>29132579If you do a good chop top to it, it's looks really sporty and cool.
>>29132672Actually cool.
>>29132579Gets hot as fuck with all that glass. 70s usdm quality problems, anything plastic is gone and irreplaceable. thin metal and lots of rust. 904 can be problematic when not maintained, six is indestructible. Shitty ford duraspark ignition likes to randomly die, get a cheap hei off speedway. Don't know if these came with the gm 2.5 or not but it's also decent. Join some Facebook owners groups and see what they bitch about.
>>29132579My first car was a 76 Hornet wagon (similar to white wagon in pic).Mechanically they're pretty simple. Parts are a bit odd, because AMC used spare parts from all three big U.S car companies. But at least the parts are attainable, with one exception. The curved rear glass in the earlier Pacers is difficult (but not totally impossible) to find. The plastics in the interior tend to off-gas in the heat and the interiors always smell a bit weird.None of them are quick, even with the 304 V8. The handling is kinda shit, but that's to be expected from just about any 70's American car.Other than the weird rear windows, my only other concern with buying one is rust.

Let me guessYou have a fiery character and like it in the butt
>>29133579Thank you. If you get the wagon model, you can do the forbidden jeep build.
>>29132672WHY AM I ERECT.
>>29132579Model-specific AMC parts are unobtanium. Unless you're an AMC fanatic, get an old rolls royce instead, it'll be easier and cheaper and just as funny to drive.
