What is there to like? They all seem fragile for the power they make. These are the only non gay 3 cylinders.

three cylinder only makes sense for shit like Jap kei cars, and even then the Daihatsu 4 cylinder turbo is a nicer engine than the 3s

That actually looks pretty stout besides the open deck. Must be those big ass oil return holes

I got a 1kr fe in my subaru justy
went from inline 6cyl to 3 cyl lol

absolute ass, vibration is unbearable when u idling with the ac on, because at low rpm you really can feel the small deviations in rpm, that pisses me off the most

but its kinda fun, the car is under 2000lb, and has a hardcut limiter, the vtec kicks in with a noticable change in the roar of the tiny 70hp thing

Finding an unmolested K75 is harder than finding an unmolested Neon SRT4 desu. Everyone wants to turn them into scramblers and cafe racers.

I loved my geo metro with 3 cylinders, 0.9L.
You could put like 5 dollars worth of gas and last the entire week.

grock, did subaru ever make a variable lift valve actuation system?

Nobody should actively want a open block engine. All it does is masquerade shitty weight management during the designing phase. Solid Block is superior in everywhere for the real world, long term, ownership.

It doesn't have to be kei. Small cars in general enjoy it. There's also the hybrid ones where you can make cheap yet quite powerful engines (pic related is Volvo's from over a decade ago, up to 180hp combined).

500cc per cyl sweetspot + size constraints.

Can confirm little shitters like this tend to have limiters so aggressive it's funny, my Twingo fuel cuts at 6k and at that point in 2nd you're only doing just over 80km/h but making a lot of noise

Its scrap. Its just scrap. Brand new landfill bait, like all the seasonal made in india junk that takes up half of home depot and hobby lobby and staples and etc. Straight from the manufacturer, to the store/dealer, to some soulless millennials shelf/garage, to the landfill in 1 month/3 years flat.

    Love me some Rotax triple.
    Almost 200 hp out of 900 cc's.
Every one of you slurpee merchants would be upside down in the ditch if you tried to haul ass in this machine

    >5th gear, 4k RPM gets you 130 to 140 kph
    >so loud on the highway you can barely hear the radio or the person next to you
    >0-100kph is like 13 to 16 seconds kek
    >fuel economy of a motorcycle
I just don't see a reason to upgrade other than safety.
