You are killing German manufacturing

> Volkswagen plans to freeze salaries through the end of the decade as it expands its cost-cutting push after lowering its outlook and doubling its job-reduction target.

"Internal documents reveal that hundreds of thousands of employees are to forgo pay raises. These latest plans represent a further escalation in the conflict between management and employee representatives,"

>further escalation in the conflict between management and employee representatives
doesn't it actually represent a complete collapse of management? it's not really a conflict as much as it is a deathbed

i mean they could just stop building dogshit cars.

But Chinese cars are dogshit too

Russians have already discovered the quality of Chinese vehicles.

A forum titled "Chinese Trucks in Russia: Initial Operational Experience and Prospects" was held in Novosibirsk, bringing together representatives from Russian transport companies, Chinese firms, and economists. It quickly became apparent that the collaboration is not unfolding as the Russian side had hoped.

The primary complaint concerns the significantly higher failure rate of Chinese vehicles, which break down much more often than their European counterparts.

Interestingly, there is no consistent pattern regarding these breakdowns. While some vehicles manage to cover high mileage without requiring repairs, about half of the Chinese trucks experience major failures in critical components—such as the engine or transmission—before reaching 500,000 kilometers, which, in the context of heavy-duty trucking, amounts to just 3–4 years of service. Many complaints also focused on electrical system failures, as well as the fact that even routine maintenance tasks—such as replacing a battery—are overly complex and require specialized diagnostic equipment.

Another issue is the lack of local warehouses and service centers. Consequently, repairs handled by dealerships take a long time, as necessary parts must be imported from China. For transport companies, every truck taken out of service translates into tangible financial losses. Furthermore, it was noted that the prices for spare parts for Chinese vehicles can be significantly HIGHER than those for European trucks.

Thanks, ChatGPT.
German cars are dogshit and expensive, Chinese cars are dogshit and cheap. If you're getting dogshit either way, why waste the extra money?

And? Convince me this is a bad thing and show me what german manufacturing brings to the table that is worth saving. As a consumer a premium price tag and overpriced maintenance doesn't cut it for me.

If Da Zhong wants me to buy their cars maybe they should have them available when I want to buy them. Not going to wait two years only to find out it sucks.

If VAG goes under then Lamborghini gets sold again. This time it'll end up going to the Indians or the Chinese.

Make something worth buying that's not full of spyware then you useless niggers

Imagine driving a Chinese death trap lmao

So fucking this.
Whenever I hear German engineering, it is always negative and not a single positive thing about them.
Overcomplexity that has zero consideration for the end user.
I wouldn't support anything Chinese, but I will be celebrating when all those German brands go under.
>>
the funniest thing is that i would support domestic industry more by buying a fucking Xiaopeng than i would a VW, the former is actually manufactured in my cunt

not really

Fuck Germany. Eu puppet clowns
>>

>I wouldn't support anything Chinese
why?
their shit is 100% unproven vs the japs, sure
but the worst case is that its as unreliable and unmaintainable as the german shit, but much, much cheaper.

Your best case scenario is wasting money

It's one thing for German cars to be more expensive, it's another for them to be stingy and ugly.

Base spec VWs and BMWs look like shit and are missing features you get on Chinese cars that are 10K cheaper.
There's not really any reason for it. It's not like it costs them thousands to enable a suite of sensors. And there's simply no reason they can't make cars that don't look hideous.

I'm reading a lot of reports of Chinese cars rusting like 70s/80s shitboxes after only a few years in a Northern European climate
>>
>>29127794
The Germans could try making good cars tbf
>>
>Hey remember when we made good quality cars? Yeah let's not do that anymore but still charge the same orices
>WTF AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH SAVE GERMAN MANUFACTURING!!!!
the US, China, Mexico and Japan will be the only places where cars are made in the future
>>
>>29134935
The subframe and suspension arms in a Toyota Corolla (E210) rust at least as bad in Northern Europe.
The body's mostly ok, but not as resistant as an old Audi. If you get the thing sandblasted, re-primed and sprayed with lanolin or equivalent synthetic, it'll probably last a while.

germany, and in general any western manufacturers, cannot compete with china due to chinas devaluation of the yuan. they peg their currency to a fraction of global currencies, and have strict capital controls to prevent capitalism from equalizing chinese production prices. in china, chinese made shit is reasonably priced, in the rest of the world, it's unreasonably cheap. this is why western economies need to slowly ban all chinese goods from import, and form coalitions between allies to manufacture at home. this would suck for a while, but in the long term western economies won't collapse like they're currently on course to do
>>
>>29136193
Or maybe they just need to not make overpriced dogshit
