Are shit.

What makes the Daytona so special? Genuinely curious.
>>

V12 Ferrari from the golden age. Nobody actually gave a shit about them for a long time though, now that ship has sailed. It was also prominently featured in Miami Vice.
>>
>>29128551
I'm aware those old Ferraris are typically named for their cylinder size, but the Daytona is seemingly the most famous 365 and I'm unsure why. I know someone with one but I'm hesitant to ask. Surely it isn't just media appearances?

I seem to recall that there was a top gear episode that featured one, that probably added to the cache and awakened normies to it (first time I heard about it). Other than that my unsupported theory is that rich guys realised they were kind of cheap at one point in comparison to others of that vintage, bought them, and then started inflating the values through hype in order to speculate on them and make money.

This show shaped a whole generation. It was so hugely influential in ways no TV or movie can be today.
>>
>>29127693
why is it slightly asymmetrical?
>>
>>29128516
All previous Ferraris were curvy, Daytona was new and Wedgy. Plus it came out during peak boomer hours so it's been forced down everyone's throats ever since.
>>
post the "shitty" Ferraris that are actually good (but not the gt4 Dino)

I'd unironically own a 348 over a 355

Perhaps the problem isn't the car, but the driver!

No shit, it's better

I need a red 308 and black 348, preferably salvage

You got me because while I could swear Ive seen this one before I cannot recall its name
And I think its not a prototype but a one off special by some coachbuilder
Im quite certain that the blue thing on the left is a ford cooper king cobra race car
Maybe vignalle ?
This here is a bastard ferrari built by an american in italy
Thomassima III
It has blue wheels matching the interior, its a definition of a hot wheels car to me despite never getting a diecast

Late-1940s Ferraris were weird.

Italy was bombed the fuck out and those were his first passenger cars,he went into grand tourer style first and then when le mans was up and running cars started to get sleeker
This is something that you would make to compete with jaguar xk120 with a roof
Picrel is a cistallia from 1947,I reckon someone at ferrari took inspiration or it was convergent evolution type of thing

It is indeed a prototype as this goldenboy was discovered within a residence that was associated with one of Ferraris designers. I can't recall details, but I'm authentically relaying the tale. It's quite interesting to look at. I wish I could remember all the intricate details, but alas it was a bit back when I ran into the gentleman with it. Yes that is also a king cobra.

It was littered with rust holes, but we took excellent care of her. I'm by no means a rich toy enjoyer but I thought it was an interesting part of history and figured you lads might enjoy discovering something obscure. If I find the newspaper written about this car I'll share but I doubt I'll be able to find it.
