If you want a stubby FWD 'sporty' wedge shaped roadster with pop up lights you might as well go with one of the better ones at least. Capris are generally dirt cheap, even the XR2s albeit a lot more rare.

First it was European, then it was a facelifted Mustang, then it was an Australian convertible, and now it's an electric crossover.

Ever since gran turismo 2, and discovering rally as an American kid where we never got the true WRC and group a and b rally experiences, only having the chance to watch it on some bootlegged tv channel in the 90s, I've been obsessed with the Evo IV, V and VI.

It's absolutely a bucket list car and i will have one in my possession one day

The second gen also had a Peugeot option. Under the dictatorship, the government had a preference for pickups to be made, so Peugeot, Fiat and Mercedes Benz (picrel) all made their own models.

Also I might be getting a Rastrojero in the not too distant future. It is one of the easiest 4 cylinder pickups you could maintain here. The only thing close is the Ford F100 Perkins.

Hey, our industry, as a continent is bigger than what you folks realize, but almost everything is focused on utility, not performance. Ford had the Troller brand in Brazil (not exported, at least to my country, though), IAME vehicles here, also IKA who made a Rambler American with a ZF tranny and sold it under Renault at one point, Uruguay has some special Mahindras and the Grumett and Effa makes, the list goes on.

Also, South Africa had a similarly interesting culture surrounding sedan to pickup conversions, there are Nissan Sunny, Ford Cortina, Ford Escort/Laser, Renault Logan (sold as a Nissan there) and Chevy Corsa (sold an an Opel there).

Noice
I always had a soft spot for the 504 Ute's, they got made for some ungodly amount of time for sale in various places, I think it was 1979 to about the mid 2000's
Could get them in twin cab, there was a refitted 4wd system and they came with a fair few different engines, compared to the base sedan and wagon they ditched the independent rear and put in a solid axle. We never got the utes here as a local product in Australia, we made the others from knock-down kits but if you wanted the utility/pickup had to get one from France, UK, Argentina or Africa... which is a bit fucking crazy but no one ever said the frogs where sane when it came to cars

I would also have a 504 Coupe with the 3L V6 but I think that's probably even rarer

I know Iran made the 405's up until recently (along with their 405 utility-pickup) and might have sold off production to Azerbaijan of all places. They had the 405 going for a very long time and they were 'ok' cars, probably one of the last 'Tough Peugeot' designs along with the 505's. After that they tended to be far more disposable in the model lineups with cars that just didn't hold together as well over time
