blogpost:first ride in like half a year, last year I did 3000km, this year maybe 100 lmao haha hehofc I had a puncture hehe lolbut god damn I love cycling, drank half a bottle of rum and decided to get the bike, grabbed some shitty headphones from me mum which had only one working, put on "the art of change", managed to listen to it fully due to puncture, and holy fuckirl shit I started earning some money, but at the same time we got hit with the war and my country switched to euro, so money feels like a joke now. I am the guy that wrote how I will focus on my apartment and you can see the progress on /diy/ "chud apartment" (idk how to crosspost). but I go after work and its so tiring, and not only because of the physical labour side, but also knowing I get basically 0 free time, and I also have to help grandparents n shit....I really want to visit other cultures, went to albania cus of work and it was cool, I would really like to do a big bike trip sometime, and I think my department might get shutdown soon, that means that I will be fired, which means I am entitled to like a year of 80% of my salary if I cant find a job, so yeah hahaha god I wish I get fired, imagine where I could go and what I could do in a year of no work but ~1k euro a month
>don't go out and ride>in a bad mood all day>go out and ride>in a bad mod the rest of the day because I don't eat near enough because I find it a hassle, even the meal shakes, and would rather just go hungryShit fucking sucks man.
>>2083781I always ride better on an empty stomach and I never eat until after my ride is done
threeflatsinoneday?,,,justshoot me!,,,patchpatchpatch,,,pumppumppump.,,masive new FLAT?!,,,pain,you win.
>riding along the paved trail today>moving about 20mph>a fucking squirrel jumped and hit my knee, bounced off and ran away>nobody was injuredI had to stop and check over myself because I definitely felt claws but there were no scratch marks and it appears the squirrel wasn't injured but it was pretty crazy. Never had anything like this happen in 10 years of cycling
Getting cold again so I tested my heated gloves with a multimeter and both had broken wires again. Such a pain in the ass to fix them. Have to turn them inside out and remove the fabric covering the heating loops. I removed most of the silicone sheathed wiring from them last year. Being so stretchy the wire strands ended up getting stressed more. Putting magnetic connectors on the gloves and extension cables last year was a nice upgrade. No more struggling to plug in a connector one handed while wearing gloves, just get the two ends close and they automatically snap together.I got a power bank with a higher output so the gloves should get a little warmer. With my old power bank I was hitting the current limiter running both gloves from one battery.
had an unexpected day off from work and the weather was way too nice, so I went for 50k despite some badly bruised ribs. worth it for the vistas
