My city is cutting bus routes starting in 2026, so tell me me/n/, do you ride bus routes for fun?
    >>
I guess you could say that. I generally take the train one stop to the "good" grocery stores instead of the shit ones on my block but but but, sometimes I take citi bike and sometimes I take the bus and sometimes I walk, depending on how bored I am of the subway

Bus passengers seem to fall into two categories: old people for whom the subway stops are too far apart, and younger people who are strange. I am not as young as I used to be but I would probably fall into the second category. But sometimes I see a young lady who seems fertile and mentally not all there, dressed in that tacky way that poor people always dress, and I think to myself, I could have that. I could knock her up and we could have a brief, mutually abusive relationship, and then I could pay child support after at least one of us ends up on the police blotter for a domestic. Probably me since I'm the male. That could be my life.

What the fuck is wrong with you?
    >>
    >>2058540
Yes, I love to ride through the city and just watch people doing their things outside or to find new interesting places or shops. It's most fun in december at night with all the decorations and maybe even snow.
When I get that sweet front spot in a double-decker it's also entertaining to watch traffic.

in this economy with these tax rates?

If you ride the buses here in Milwaukee you're a psychopath.
    >>
Transportation in Milwaukee should come under the control of the NITA/RTA

We already run trains up to Kenosha
    >>
funny how our grandparents afforded to build the bus but we cant afford to let niggers maintain it
    >>
    >>2059530
    We call that progress
    >>
    >>2058552
i love a good ramble, nice post anon
    >>
    >>2058540
I'm poor and don't have air conditioning, so I ride the bus and shitpost in the cool air
    >>
    >>2058540
My 3 year old loves bus days out, we get the bus to the local beach a lot, and the bigger town nearby for soft play and bowling. Sometimes just get the wee town bus rather than walking for 30mins

Kinda prefer trains for that stuff, can get into the nearby city for the big museums etc, bus takes ages to get there though, train only takes 20mins

Chicago has no right to exist. Naturally segmented cities are immoral.

    >another tranny shill bump 1+ month in
clocking in a full shift today?
    >>
I had fun riding random routes when I was in a new city for college and sightseeing all the neighborhoods
    >>
    >>2064010
    You need to leave.

    >>2064097
    On foot is still better.
    >>
I took the bus the other day because all the overhead signs changed to "delays" simultaneously on the subway platform, I didn't stick around to find out why

No, but that's an interesting idea. I'll ride metro routes for fun.
Milwaukee needs a metro system. I want to live there but my autism prevents me from living in cities that don't have metro trains, and from living in parts of the city that aren't covered by said metro. Because I like riding trains, you see.
    >>
    >>2064010
    Are you ok?
    >>
I should take the bus more often
    >>
Nice to see Chicago's suburbs finally getting their own transit
    >>
    >>2058540
Yeah, I like to travel while listening to podcasts. Before I went to college that meant I did a lot of driving just for fun. When I went to college and moved to the city I got rid of my car, and we got a bus pass as part of our tuition. So I did a lot of walking and riding the bus while listening to podcasts. I have ridden most of the busses in my city for the entirety of their routes.
    >>
I like taking the bus to work if I see I'm ready to leave just as it's about to come. The stop is a 3 minute walk from my house, and it stops right across the street from my job. It's usually almost empty and I get to have a chill morning.

    >cutting routes
Good. Stop being poor and buy a proper bike.
    >>

The searchers all say they'd have made Whitefish Bay if they'd put fifteen more miles behind her
    >>
    >>2058540
I took a Greyhound up to Tallahassee for a concert. Never again. I'd rather ride my single speed up there. Blacks are a damn plague.
    >>
    >>2072713
I thought it was a chicago map and I was like "whitefish bay? but that's in wisconsin?"

Isn't that where dahmer is from
    >>
Yes. The 36 (Broadway), 22 (Clark) and 151 (Inner Lake Shore Drive) are my favorites

For years it looked like the CTA would be forced to massively cut service, then the state legislature intervened at the last second and not only funded transit for the foreseeable future, but also increased the budget for operators and infrastructure

    Consider moving down here
    >>
    >>2080332
Oh and they're supposedly turning Metra into S-bahn style regional rail too but we'll see if that actually happens
    >>
I got a bike specifically so I wouldnt have to ride the bus anymore
Disgusting rolling hovels filled with filthy fucking vagrants

I am never going to ride a bus again
    >>
    >>2080387
Yeah your needs to have a critical mass of "normal" people using transit regularly, otherwise the bus is a nightmare
    >>

I ride it to go somewhere ie. I have a destination in mind
    >>
    >>2058540
In my experience very few people do this although it is free. Some old people infrequently who are really just roaming the city cheaply to see how things changed. Local tourism. Also ordinary tourists from further away.
    >>
    >>2058552
You should do it unironically. Incredibly based poast btw
