There is a real essence of Dash, but even the best writers can only touch on that every once in a while; that essence must be triangulated from all the individual specific moments. nta but i agree, my idea of dash and how i love her is already quite divorced from what the show has turned her into especially in the later seasons. i guess she's mostly based on her portrayal in earlier seasons, but with some aspects borrowed from other places in the show.
i suppose the added benefit to this is that the idea i have of her, and my love for her is completely safe and unaffected by what the show or what others make of her to ruin her character.
i guess it all just really comes down to loving her the way you want. the good stuff is canon and the bad stuff by bad writers is stupid and not canon, it's that simple

This is a cute idea but the idea for Dashember was a month to appreciate Rainbow herself, with a slight Christmas theme. The abstract prompts are to not limit what ideas a Dashfren could use for these. I liked seeing the variety of drawings each prompt had, from one dashbro to the next.
