    Valve broke wallbugs, pixel climbs and pixel walks with the scream fortress update. This means it's now nearly impossible to climb up to funny spots on above BLU 1st spawn for example.
    The way they did it is they made the game forcefully push you away from any wall you're touching.

    TF2 is a game built on unintended exploits. Air strafing, rocket jumping were initially unintended bugs in the goldsrc engine. The reason we even have SPY in TF2 is because players in TF2C would sometimes bug out and display the wrong team color which is what inspired valve to make spy in the first place. Several widely used current TF2 mechanics such as speedshots or ctaps are unintended but clearly they enhance the game with their existence. I think this clearly proves that just because something is a bug doesn't mean fixing it is immediately a good thing. Some bugs are happy bugs that improve the game and should be left alone.
    And Valve didn't even code this themselves, they just blindly accepted some random retard's github post without understanding what it would do.
    Uncletopia enabled the cvar that brings the mechanic back. UNCLETOPIA, the anti-fun retard palace think it's not a big deal. The comp community explicitly allows wallbugs and pixelwalking, so clearly the tech isn't an issue gameplay-wise. Removing it makes the game less fun.
    TF2 is 19 years old now. Why the FUCK would you ever touch TF2's physics this far into the game?

    If it’s based on kill/death, this would only discourage people from playing support classes like medic and engineer and encourage people to play selfishly at the expenses of their teams.

    If it’s based on point/death, it would be fairer, but it may still discourage people from playing support classes and supporting their teams in general, albeit to a lesser extent.

    If it’s based on team wins and team losses, it would encourage people to support their teams more to an extent, but it would also reward players for idling in the spawn room if their teams are already doing well enough.

    Regardless, I still think the ranking system needs some kind of reform if phenomena such as rounds that end in team scrambles and rounds played on maps like mg_painter and tf2ware can have as big of impacts as they do.
