    On my birthday, I finally watched FG (and the FiM movie), after rewatching RR, and yeah, I fell in love with the characters
    I only watched the rest of the official content AFTER I started the EQG Stream
    Anyways, that's not the reason; it's that I tried lurking in threads I wouldn't normally lurk in, and I found that the EQG threads have anons just as good as the rest of the board, despite having much less content (both official and fanmade) to work with
    They taught me to appreciate the show, get past the "ugh, a barbiefag" shitposting, and have fun
    I mean, I still prefer ponies over humans, FiM over EQG, and horse you-know-what over human you-know-what, and I think most of the EQGchads here feel the same way
    But what sets us apart from the rest is that we love the characters regardless of their form, and we have fun instead of going into "no fun allowed!" mode

EQG starts off rough, but it hits its highest point immediately afterwards in RR, only for the quality to dip slightly in FG, only for it to rise again in LOE, only to stay consistently good for the rest of its run, whereas FIM starts off strong, hits a wall in S5, stays level in S6, only to go into freefall in Season 7. By the end of the Last Problem, the Main Six are no longer the same ponies we started with at all. By the 'end' (if you can even call it that) of EQG, however, the girls still feel and act like the same group of best friends who helped turn Sunset into the lovable girl that she ended up becoming.
