Prove or disprove this opinion for me, please. I treated Zeta like a chore and I still ended up watching all of it, ZZ and CCA.
>>240643210079 is the only good uc gundam. Tomino said so as well.
>>24064321Whether or not you continued on to ZZ and CCA is irrelevant, because forcing yourself to watch a whole series you are not enjoying is just retarded.
>>24064321stop being so insecure about watching or not watching something.
>>24064321Off-topic, there's absolutely nothing wrong with broccoli. If you don't like eating it, then it's entirely the cook's fault for preparing it wrong, a literal skill issue. That being said, people are so goddamn soft if they can't stomach watching 50 episodes of a TV show. Zeta has its problems certainly, but it's not so terrible that watching it becomes a chore. There are far worse things to get mad at in the world, so fucking suck it up. If you can't tolerate a TV show that occasionally has some bad episodes then you should just fucking stop because that describes Gundam more often than not, and there are even worse entries later on.
but broccoli is delicious? do americans really follow cartoon logic where broccoli is stinky and gross?
>>24064410>it's not so terrible that watching it becomes a choreRosamia 2 and Reccoa episodes are pretty bad.
you don't need to watch Zeta or ZZ to understand CCA. Only 0079 is necessary
>>24064321Might not be exactly the same thing but I constantly see people asking Gundam fans "hey I was thinking of getting into Gundam and like the look of this AU, is that okay to start with?" And then the Gundam fans are like>NO, you have to start with the original Mobile Suit Gundam (1979)>THEN you have to watch Zeta>THEN you have to watch Double ZETA>AND THEN you have to watch CCA>AND THEN AFTER THAT you have to watch all of the AUs released before the one you mentioned, IN PRODUCTION ORDER>AND THEN, AND ONLY THEN, should you watch the single Gundam show you actually expressed interest in watching, despite the fact the story isn't actually connected to any of the stuff you were just told to watch before because it is in fact an AUand then as far as I know the person who originally asked doesn't end up watching any Gundam at all because they realize the fans are largely annoying and autistic and treat getting into the series like a list of chores
>>24064473A lot of that is just because so many of the shows are based on or reference the older shows. Surprise surprise, if you want to get into Gundam then you have to watch Gundam shows. Unless the plot is a direct ripoff like GQuuuuuuX or a direct sequel like Reconguista and Unicorn, then whatever, go ahead and watch it without prior knowledge, but with the full understanding that you're going to be getting an incomplete experience. It's not like 0079 is even a bad series. It's arguably the best one, its only problem is the dated animation. The fact that so many entries build upon 0079 is a testament to how good it is, so why should watching a good show be treated like a chore.Besides which, there's no shortage of mecha shows out there that would scratch any itch you might have without being a part of a multi-decade saga. If they want to watch those instead of Gundam, nothing stopping them.
