I REALLY dislike the designs. I can see what they were going for but they are so drastic and everyone liked the old designs anyways. They massacred the Blocker and Fatty especially. It could be a retcon like the gundam 0080 designs tried to be. On the bright side, a Votoms game coming out alongside it would be more than welcome.
