The Mk-II is a piece of trash
    >>
    >>24046140
    Yes, and?
It's notable for being the origin of the MORVABL FLAME but it's pretty much outdated within it's own show by the machines being fielded by both sides around the middle part of the war. That's why the G Defenser was needed.
    >>
    >>24046140
Why are you trash talking your former ride Jerid?
    >>
The Rick Dias was always superior.
    >>
    >>24046140
In the novels they bring up that the MKIIs control scheme is in fact very archaic, hizack on the contrary is very easy to handle.

I always liked the MK-II better than the grand daddy, the use of the space where the beam sabers are to have more thrusters was a nice choice.
It really is just an updated gundam

Looking at the stats Barzam actually seems like a perfected MK II with having almost the same thrust while improving on it's weakeness such as it's weak armor and lower vernier thrusters count.

    yeah but its really pretty

Barzam design gives me mixed feelings
It's supposed to be all of upgraded mechanical utility but it looks less mechanical than a Hizack, like a MOTW reject
Fix its proportions like Refined design did, and it's suddenly looking too generic?
And AoZ versions don't have it look like a Barzam at all?

Its proportions could have been ok if only it had looked even less humanoid and more mechanical.
    >>
    >>24056620
It was never treated with any respect either, it just shows up with zero fanfare right before the second earth arc begins.
    >>
    >>24056620
I think the AoZ version looks pretty good but that one is suppose to be a mass produced woundwort instead of mk II or something.

    >>24056622
It never got a named pilot so they kinda of just show up tank a few zeta beams to the chest and fade into the background. They could have had Jerid pilot one while they converted his byarlant for space use to give it more intimate screen time.

    He didn't say that.

AoZ designs aren't bad in and of themselves, but they clash hard with the UC aesthetics. The only thing worse is Gyoubu's greebled sharts from Moon Gundam.

AoZ doesn't clash that hard but it does make normal uc seem kind of simple when you have hizacks decked out with custom parts. I can at least still tell it's a hizack underneath all the extra gadgets.

Gyoubu's greeble is out of this world though. Someone mentioned that the psycho gundam MKIV g-doors is suppose to resemble the gundam Mk II but i never noticed that until today after looking at it very closely. It has so much unnecessary detail and angles that i couldn't even tell it may it was suppose to look similar to the Gundam mark II.

    >Fix its proportions like Refined design did, and it's suddenly looking too generic?
That's because they wanted to make the MK II connection "smoother" but in result removed it from any iconicness other than the chest and head.
    >No special shoulders
    >No color distribution
    >No space for the forearms beam sabers compartments
    >No zeek/chicken like legs.

Refined barzam suffers from being a barzam head stuck on a mk ii frame with some barzam inspired detailing on it. AoZ keeps most of what made the barzam unique while mating it to a more federal style torso rather than the odd barrel chest that makes the original look shorter that it actually is. The shoulders are also a bit more MK II looking in shape rather than simple looking triangles.

    >No zeek/chicken like legs.
Kinda lame how some many mangaka went actually zeon came up with it first with so many titan original machines and ideas.
    >>
    counterpoint: super gundam
    >>
    >>24062104
Wouldn't the counter point be that titan pilots were just that skilled since MK II does pretty good in ZZ were it's up against a lot of limited production power level machines used by mostly mediocre pilots.
    >>
    >>24062111
who even pilots in Mk-II in ZZ? Elle- yeah Elle, I guess. No way Judau is letting her get shot down
Also... This is the new one. The Mk III
