Frankly if she was with one of the GM Sniper II's in the Scarlet Team, there is a solid chance she might have been able to put down Misha before he was able to even reach the Armory with the Alex. The main reason she suffered so heavily against Bernie was due to a combination of going out in a mostly unarmed Alex and getting drawn into a close combat in a kill box that had been set up specifically for keeping her from being able to aim properly. In terms of raw combat ability, the game has her as more capable than Shiro from 8th MS Team. (Granted, the game also claims Shiro is abnormally charismatic and a natural leader. Something I severely doubt after getting laughed out of his own Military Tribunal for his goofy-ass speech)

She doesn't fold immediately in any of her duels, actually won her fight against Reccoa and while her suit was effectively scrap after the fight, she managed to complete the significantly harder victory condition of not killing the enemy while disabling them in said duel, she also took out both of Yazan's wingmen with Ramsus being confirmed dead and Dunkel being a probably based on the fact he never shows up again after she blasts his suit in half. Also, it's hard to really even call Katz a bad pilot even if him running into a rock is pretty bad since he never really gets to fight in a mobile suit, it's like calling Sayla a bad pilot despite her also never fighting while trained in a mobile suit. Katz is so neglected in universe the AEUG never even bothered to give him a real mobile suit to pilot, despite giving Fa one.
