It just went all according to Sora's plan; even Jyao's interference came in to play perfectly, so it was just going by the motions until Sora won. I was also surprised we couldn't get Jyao and Vanken seeing Sora saving the trapped human from the monster like he's known to do, since it was established last week that Vanken can't save them and feels really bad about it. But I'm sure they're saving that big truth reveal for later, as Mao keeping that fact from them will definitely split the group, and that's better saved for a Q2 story arc.I am really liking the Zodiacs; I like seeing their different interactions and relationships. Already so much better than the last 3 shows' shady organizations by having more than one character with an interesting personality. My only fear is that they're gonna kill them off as a big shocking twist and replace them with other characters, as I want them to stay as long as possible to develop each of them the most they can.

So Jyao and Vanken quite literally didn't see anyone come back, but at the same we have so little context that we don't know if the youtuber came back since we never saw how the dad from the previous case was eaten.I'd imagine they'll finally acknowledge on episode 10 since that should the episode after Tigre's first henshin going by toy schedules.

Mizuki is only there to say ''go do a crime'' and pass out. We know more about the zodiak than Otosumi and the senpai. It's an interesting flip but the singular investment we have right now is in their character instead of the why and how. I only fear the buildup wouldn't really pay off.

>>24045163>>24045273It was a fun episode, the show has improved a bit now that the pacing isn't as clusterfuck-y.We keep getting more bits and pieces of Sora and Yuna's childhood incident, the Fukashigi that attacked them seemed to a be a Wing one which could explain why Sora had a sudden flashback at the end of the first episode. Like I mentioned before, I'm glad that Tatsuomi is getting more involved with Sora and Yuna, closely interacting with them and slowly figuring out how the new My-Th stuff works. I also like to once again see them taking a scientific approach to the way they defeat the Fukashigi, I hope Tatsuomi eventually gets to contribute to one of these cases since he's a smart teacher himself.I also liked the interactions between the Zodiacs in this episode. Jyao totally deserved it, but the overly mean way in which Maou reprimanded him makes it look like the latter isn't a really good person himself. Seeing Datt and Mutn play with Kei was cute, and it was cool to see Tigre and Vanken interact since they're the most benevolent and levelheaded members of the group so far. Tigre's definitely allying with My-Th at some point since he doesn't believe he's the prophesied calamity, but Vanken unfortunately seems to be too loyal to the organization to entertain the idea. We also learned that Vanken understandably doesn't want to lose any of his comrades, which is why he helps Jyao out in order to prevent him from getting himself killed, although that makes Mutn jealous and worried about his own wellbeing. Mutn and Vanken definitely have something going on, even if they might not be a full-on couple (yet).Tigre also have us a lore drop, revealing that the belts were provided by a being who transcended humanity in the distant past. This adds fuel to my theory that Ryuz isn't fully human anymore and that's why he's hiding behind a mask.(1/?)
>>24050958Looks like the situation with Yuna wasn't as critical as it initially seemed, she still got back up a few times and Sora only got a roughed up a bit before she managed to authorize his transformation, so we didn't get to see any big problems unfold yet. Fucking called it that My-Th would step on Jyao's tail at some point. It was cool to see Sora take advantage of the Zodiacs' interference in order to improve his plan and its 60% chance of success. It also seems like he doesn't have copies of every Ride X-Eggs, given his remarks about Vanken's Egg and the fact that he decided to keep it in his possession.The way the episode immediately cut to Sora serving dinner after he finished the Fukashigi off without showing us Jyao and Vanken's reactions was awkward, especially since we only learn that he kept the stolen X-Eggs thanks to a dialogue from Mutn during the aftermath. Also, although Vanken did get a bit more focus like I hoped for, we unfortunately only saw him in action for a few seconds before jobbing to set My-Th's new form up. Mutn's pretty pissed about what happened to Vanken by the way, and it seems like she'll be gunning for My-Th from now on.We got a pretty wholesome scene with Sora passing out on the couch after all the stuff he had to do in order to restore Yuna's health. At the end, my question over what the Alliance was doing with the Seed X-Eggs finally got answered, Kamuri is consuming their essence like Yuna does, seemingly to become humanity's hope himself as he stated during his fight against Black My-Th. I wonder if he also needs to consume them in order to survive, maybe the duel with Black My-Th left him in a pretty bad shape or something. The action was okay this week, biggest highlights for me were when Jyao stood up on his tail.(2/2)
