What the fuck was Hathaway's problem?Qt Hala gets shot down by Lane and this guy doesn't even try to recover her body to honor her memory. Just leaves her there. Then during the actual fight against Lane, he has like 10 different chances to just kill Lane, point blank, and instead of putting a beam shot through the cockpit during their aerial maneuvers or just stabbing it with the saber he decides to grab the fucking thing and throw it around like a ragdoll. Two of his pilots are confirmed dead, the ship crew is unconfirmed, and this man feels nothing. Zero remorse. All he can think about is Gigi. Not Hala, not the other pilot guy who died alongside her, just Gigi. His crew, including the fat captain and the bikini mechanic, are probably dead, and he still doesn’t shed a single tear. What a terrible leader.
>>24044505That’s kinda the point, he’s no Amuro, he’s no Kamille, and he’s most certainly no Judoh, he’s fighting a pointless battle that didn’t have to be one
>>24044505Unlike the upstanding citizen he was in CCA.
>>24044505You can clearly see that he is affected by deaths and has remorse. He tries and fails to keep it together throughout the film.
>>24044505Hathaway gets folded by any other gundam protagonist in less than a minute. He's a jobber being carried hard by Xi Gundam and the animators not being willing to do any complex fighting with how atrocious the design is to work with even digitally. It's like watching someone wearing 60 layers of clothing trying to fight. He just kinda flails angrily and drag tools to the side be cause it saves on budget
>>24044505Hathaway doesn't care about the cause. He just has daddy issues
>>24044505>Hala gets shot down by LaneWas it really Lane in Alizeus tho? I though it was the Re-GZ in waverider mode that shot her down?
>>24045153It was Lane. Maybe pay attention next time
>>24045153the cinema booklet or something confirmed it was Lane's Alyzeus.
>>24045266>t. hallucinating bot>>24045278Which booklet is that? do you have it?
>>24044505Take your meds hathaway
shower quess sex
>>24045451you can clearly see the missile funnels shooting down Hala in that scene please pick a better hill to die on
>>24045153Isn't that the AK Re-GZ?
>>24045567>hallucinating bot continue trying to gaslight humanNothing from the tiny speck in this scene indicated any funnel missile being used instead of regular missile. Please go die in mountain of trash fire you abo nigger.
>>24045775it's nice that you posted the scene because it's proof that it was the Alyzeus fighting that Messer
>>24045806>If I keep saying it maybe it will become true.
Did Hathaway and Hala actually have any interaction, like at all? Why should he care about the corpse of some NPC whose sole purpose was cheap ass eye candy, you waifufags are obnoxiously retarded
>>24045983they talk in Oenbelli.
>>24045983I mean, for someone who supposedly cares so much about the world, you'd think he'd care for the people working alongside him for the same goal.Although I think this is only a problem if you see Hathaway as an hero, rather than the loser destroying his and other's lives that he actually is.
need to rewatch this shid all i remember is Gigi
>>24046023fuck Gigi
>>24046000What the fuck with those artifacts on your screenshot anon?
>>24046045im fucking trying to
Hathaway is the protagonist, but Lane is the hero. But what a useless, inconsequential story in the first place. No wonder Tomino wanted it forgotten.
>>24046063Lane is just a whiny shonen comic relief. Unless they deviate from the novels (again), it's Kenneth who neutralizes the XI with the generators that you see at the end of the second film.
>>24046075Hopefully we get to see him in a full on panic being forced to eject into the Odysseus Gundam to lure Hathaway to the beam net. >>24046063While not necessary to explain the rot and decay of the Federation we see in F91 and Victory, Hathaways Flash does a good portraying why they are doomed as a faction. Also Hathaway story ending with a pointless life lived while creating a future terrorist is a fitting end for him.
>>24045983Why didn't Hathaway bother checking whether she was actually dead? He was literally right there. There's a chance she was still alive, just unconscious inside the cockpit, but he just flies off assuming she's kaput. They're an underfunded rogue cult group that can't exactly afford to throw away manpower. You'd think they'd want to make sure before abandoning one of their own.
>>24046087this
>>24044542>That’s kinda the pointHaving a terrible point doesn't mean it's a good story.
>>24045153Aren't those hangars incredibly small for mobile suit maintenance? It's not supposed to be a regular airport.
>>24044853>Hathaway gets folded by any other gundam protagonist in less than a minute. He's a jobber being carried hard by Xi GundamThis applies to Banagher too btw.
>>24046857Even so
>>24046812But it is. You are watching a cautionary tale of an unstable man. Not a hero's journey
>>24046813Yes, but it's possible those are just storage and not for MS maintenance. Annoyingly enough, the hangars where Kamille steals the Gundam Mark II was also way too short for maintenance, the only reason the Gundam Mark II fit inside was because it was lying down on a flatbed trailer. Quattro also took photos of what might be GM Quels inside similarly short hangars. Then again, Musais also carry out maintenance in hangars that are also cramped, but they have the benefit of microgravity I guess. I also vaguely recall the hangar that the Cyclops team used to assemble the Kampfer being too short for a standing MS.
>>24044505
>>24047420MS can be maintained lying down, they do it tons, they don't have to be standing. There's plenty of clearance for it there.>>24045944nta but that's obviously Alyzeus from the way it moves, nothing else operates in atmosphere like that except Penelope and Xi (within the context of the movie anyway)
BD/DVD announced for Jan 27.There will be a two week theatrical re-run from 11 December where a limited edition BD will be sold.
>>24046087Not an ideal situation, so I'll assume it's a combination of:-Damage looked bad enough around the cockpit from that shot in the air-The area was on fire, making any rescue dificult, plus it would bring unwanted attention and Feds would be there to check the wreckage.
>>24048437Amazingly optimistic of them
>>24047729sexo
>>24044505He did try shooting Lane. Grappling has always been a thing since Zeta to give them a reason to be close enough to hear each other through contact. He also had respect for Lane and want to return the favour of releasing Gawman defying Kenneth's order.
>>24046087>>24048447He's not exactly set up to do CSAR, there's enemy in the area and he's trying not to blow the critical operation they're all putting everything on the line for. If she's alive she can either attempt SERE or wait for the Feds to come detain her. Given the mercy they showed the EFF grunts earlier she's got at least somewhat better chances of acceptable treatment from them. If she's dead, then she's dead, and if she's seriously injured there's not a whole lot he can do to help, the EFF finding her would actually probably give her better chances. All outcomes also drastically increase the risk to an already tight and dangerous operation. It's not the heroic option but it's not exactly unreasonable in that situation either. Half the reason PJs and dedicated CSAR units exist in real life is to limit the danger and disruption to others that someone getting shot down causes, way too many instances in Vietnam of one shootdown setting off a chain of events costing a bunch of lives and airframes.
>>24046045thats what hathaway is trying to do but failing at
>first 5 minutes of the new movie and hathaway is already talking to dead women in his headyep it's kino
man the netflix translation is kinda dogshit, i was confused at first during the catfight between gigi and mace.
>>24046020He clearly cares about his fellow soldiers. None of them are forced to be there and if he wasn't around they would still be blowing up Feddie shit.
>>24050169What? They canonically fucked at the end of the second film.
>>24044505It was alright.
>>24048437I suppose first run didn't do good numbers
>>24058788Theatrical rereleases are common in Japan.
>>24058788a second run wouldn't fix the first run being low, repeats are mainly for merchandise or for extra hype. it's also sorta common normie thing to be a cinema tryhard who thinks eating popcorn and getting their asses blasted in a 4D™ chair is the best way to watch media
>>24057267T. Hathaway on his meds.
>>24060465They used to be common everywhere, and we're starting to see some big Hollywood studios trying it out again with a couple of tentpoles here and there.>>24060654I was honestly quite surprised by how different the experience of watching the first Hathaway was in a cinema versus at home, but it was also just a conventional cinema with a nice sound system and screen. The medium is the message and all that, I suppose.I did see that 2 got a release on one of those formats that projects onto the walls to give a wrap-around effect and I can't imagine that's a good way to watch any movie, let alone one that's 90% two people talking or pondering things.
>>24048977>having respect for the guy who murdered your qt coworker
>>24058788>>24060654are you retarded? first run made it the 3rd highest grossing gundam film ever.
>>24061267And how much did they spend making it? Box office numbers are irrelevant.
>>24062435>Box office numbers are irrelevantSo is your goal post moving.
