American literature and medias skew anti-war while European literature and media glorifies it. Europeans are NPCs that are happy dying for some flimsy idea of nationalism. It's funny considering Euros even run a war-tourism business where they will let you buy a ticket to tour their demolished war torn cities. You also have to question why Europeans spend so much more time in war than Americans. Americans close out wars instantly, meanwhile Europeans spend lifetimes in war. Americans seem to have an entire literary and cinematic tradition dedicated to questioning the bloodshed, state, military institutions, mass mobilization, propaganda, and the general absurdity of getting vaporized for some politician's geopolitical ambitions. Meanwhile, European political discourse seems to oscillate between nostalgia for empires that collapsed a century ago, pretending the EU is the end of history, reading René Guénon and Julius Evola and deciding that modernity is the problem rather than the fact that your country has become an administrative theme park, or occasionally quoting Hitler, because apparently the continental intellectual tradition has run out of material. Why does European anti-war sentiment so often seem to be replaced by technocratic managerialism or romanticized historical militarism? Is it because Americans are smarter and realize that dying for your country like an NPC bugman is a retarded idea? Or are Europeans just NPCs running the same dialogue tree about European civilization, multipolarity, and the need for a strong leader?
God Americans are so fucking retarded, you're lucky you are far away from any country that would want to hurt you.
The American spirit is defined by a harsh untamable frontier that naturally engenders skepticism of centralized state power and narratives. American identity is intrinsically more amorphous and accommodating of diverse peoples so that it's much more difficult to define a collective American spirit which is sufficiently representative. This is why the Great American Novel is forever out of reach. European countries until very recently were practically ethno-states if not in name then certainly in function so that the state narrative doubles as a kind of ethnic consciousness. On top of this, European states buy national loyalty through generous state welfare programs that develop a kind of reciprocal attitude between state and civilian. Ultimately this leads to broad alignment on viewpoint which is why the average European politician makes almost identical complaints about the US as the average European on the street. This kind of state alignment has often been the subject of European self-critique, especially in the treacherous way people betrayed each other under Nazism or Soviet rule. So it's not that Europeans are pro-war so much as they're always more supportive of the state and less skeptical than Americans.

Euros are so deranged and psychopathic they used to pay to go to vacation in Bosnia to shoot innocent citizens down with sniper rifles. This was in our lifetime, by the way.
