>>25624883First of all this is a gay stylistic cringe fest even when it was contemporary. But you get the impression the author is at least a genuine dandy IRL. Every single WG, WIBAC, LWC is full of unfortunate, uncharming autists trying to write like this.
>>25624883>loose, wanton, gayindeed, op, indeed
Perhaps it's because I'm not a woman but I can't stand this over-dramatic nonsense. It's more coherent than stream of consciousness but still a pile of sentence fragments, questionable grammar, and random capitalization and punctuation stitched together with exclamation points to make it seem poetic, or revelatory.I'm sure this is the part where some dweeb lectures me about how authentic and "soulful" this confessional style of writing is, but I really don't give a damn how sincere it is if it's sincerely awful to read.
>oh>oshit like this is retarded and i have always thought so
Writing like this is like going to the Chinese buffet and doing five plates. Two plates and a half portion finale plate is where you should have stopped.
whoa...sus
>>25624883My English teacher said you're supposed to capitalize the first letter of the first word after an exclamation mark. Also you're not supposed to begin on a preposition.
>>25624883This reads like some post-covid brainlet wrote this trying really hard to be sophisticated? Did you write this OP? It's trash and you can't trick people into liking you.
>>25624883Why would they want to?
>>25625017I don't even think it's authentic. Nobody says or thinks "Ohhh, oh! Oh Sylvia! Oh my amazing beautiful wanton loving ravishing charming amazing youthful blooming monarch Sylvia! Ohh!! Ohh! Oohhhhhh!!!!!" This shit was probably just as boring and cliche 300 years ago as it is now. The Sorrows of Young Werther (at least the translation I read) was not nearly this tryhard, although it still isn't a very refreshing read.
