In 2027 living as a NEET seems the only sane and actually human way of existing. Han was right, stop functioning, start contemplating.

idk, being constantly stressed about your financial future does not make one feel particularly sane in the long run. the fact is there is no correct way to live in this world, everything requires intolerable compromises. contemplation that can never transform itself into practice feels just as alienating to me as practice cut off from contemplation. but i will check out this guy, thanks for the recommendation.

Being a NEET from a wealthy family who spent his 20s touching grass and now has settled into a comfy life as a man of leisure is peak.

Ideally, yes, but the material demands of reality unfortunately are hard to avoid. But we should strive for a post-labor liberatory future as an ideal. The AI discourse has flipped to conservatism in a sense, of people trying to conserve the concept of labor itself, when really we should be thinking of how to automate it in order to create a condition of leisure and abundance. The problem is more figuring out how to address material security as the current economic system fails to do this outside of wage labor, we need to figure out how to address a post-wage labor economy properly and socialize the gains of the machines.

    yes, balance is key
    >>25624581
agreed. the desperation is in response to the crises of capitalism and neoliberalism, the achievement society as han calls it. if we know these oligarchs wont even give us scraps now, we cant be sure they will in the future, our society is too predicated on metrics and endless growth and status competition. wage labor is a subordinate position, of exploitation, but it is our current means of sustenance, if they do not hae the ability to envision something more feasible that is better, they cling to it because they cannot see an alternative(fisher)

Byuung-Chul Han has never had an original thought in his life and I have no idea why he’s so heavily praised
    >>
    >>25624591
You know what the response to the crisis of capitalism is, you're just afraid of it.

marx is too fantastical, too 19th century, it wont be as clean as that in the modern world. the marx lens is useful but the map is not the territory. its 21st century, we must be pragmatic about surveillance states, panopticon, interconnected networks, the grid, palantir robot dogs and all that shit. the epstein bois know we know and they have all sorts of doomsday escape hatch plans. if you think they havent wargamed every marxian uprising scenario already youre naive
    >>
    >>25624597
i declare myself officially 'unafraid' of the marxist transfiguration of our planet. now to sit back and await the good times. any day now. i am ready.

I have to work to survive but I have given up on all forms of entertainment besides books and I don't consume 21st century slop. Now if only i could get rid of my pc altogether and meditate till my death
    >>
    >>25624499
You don't know shit about how the world works if you think that. When AI becomes fully integrated into society, we're not going to be holding hands singing kumbaya together.

Human ambitions don't stop where yours do. They go much further, and people are willing to commit a tremendous amount of violence in order to achieve their goals.

The most sane way to live is to keep climbing, keep learning, keep exploring, and keep fighting.

become a miser and save every penny
The more you spend the more you have to work and waste your life away

voluntarily live in poverty and save every penny. Get your own entertainment for free via the internet which unfortunately cost money. Try to get the cheapest internet you can find. the internet is probably the only thing you should waste your money on because you can get tons of free shit from it
    >>
    >>25624544
my friend did that but instead of touching grass he was smoking grass and sleeping with hundreds of women.
now he's been given some property and just smokes weed and plays video games all day and wants to settle down with his nice low-maintenance girlfriend and maybe take the yacht out a couple days in the summer.
    could be worse I guess
    >>
    >>25625213
    miser is short for miserable
    >>
    >>25625283
that's why you have internet so your life is not so miserable living in voluntary poverty
    >>
i would concede that living as a miser without internet would be a living hell. it would be extremely boring
that's why i say the only thing you should waste your money on is internet to stave off boredom
    >>
    >>25624604
    sad.
    >>
i don't know how scrooge lived as a miser without internet
    i would have killed myslef
    >>
    >>25625288
you know it’s okay to give it a try to not live in poverty right? you can always be miserly later

i am too autistic to become rich lol

i am too autistic to even find work. i could try to become a streamer and become rich like asmongold
    >>
    >>25624597
Isn’t Marxism predicated on everyone needing to labor their days away? Doesn’t it value labor above everything? Does not seem comfy or adjacent to NEETism whatsoever.
    >>
it most likely won't happen because being socially isolated has made me a boring person personality-wise
if i were to become a streamer i would barely talk/ i am emotionally and socially stunted. i would be like the most boring streamer on the planet
    >>
    >>25625307
your excuses matter for nothing if you haven’t meaningfully tried at life once
your unearned victim mentality will be how you rationalize suicide one day sadly
    >>
    >>25625323
i am describing the reality of my situation. i am not saying i am a victim. i don't really care

only a dumb normalfag has this view. no matter much someone like terry davis tries he'll never become rich because he's schizophrenic

    >Isn’t Marxism predicated on everyone needing to labor their days away?
nope, it's literally predicated on how capitalism requires us to labour our days away, all for the sake of an insatiable cancerous algorithm (of which capitalists are merely the highest-ranking employees).
    >Doesn’t it value labor above everything?
it values labour to the extent that labour is how we produce our world, including our working conditions and our opportunities for idleness. the ideal world we want to produce is one in which all labour has the unforced creative character which today we glimpse only in the labour of artists.

'sounds lovely, but you are a useful idiot, and the central planners will send you to the mines as soon as the revolution comes to pass!'
perhaps! the dangers are many. it's much harder to consciously figure out the economy than it is to leave it in the hands of an unconscious algorithm. humanity is like a brain-damaged patient on life support that needs to cautiously unplug and rehabilitate itself before its mind atrophies away forever.

I was a NEET for 7 years and I've been working for 2 years now
It was ok in the past but recently I've been working a lot more about 60-70 hours a week, I've lost nearly 20 kg in the past 6 months and I have hardly any time for reading anymore
I just want to go back to 30-40 hours a week
    >>
    >>25625441
    >the ideal world we want to produce is one in which all labour has the unforced creative character which today we glimpse only in the labour of artists.
So then who does the work nobody wants to do in this world? Who does the manual labor, the toil, etc.? What incentive is there to do said jobs?
    >>
    >>25625348
the point is whether you’ve attempted to try, not if you’ve succeeded
    >>
    >>25625348
    >no matter much someone like terry davis tries he'll never become rich because he's schizophrenic
he's dead also which puts another spanner in the works
    >>
    >>25624581
I live in supported living and haven't had a real job since 2015.

    >>25625309
that's why I could never consider myself Marxist. not only is my cultural background an enemy of Marx but I'm also a bit of a NEET and my family owns land. so I just refuse to engage him in good faith, even in my own writings.
