She's so humble
>>25622177Interesting thread theme:"REACTIONS OF PEOPLE TO WINNING THE NOBEL PRIZE"A couple I remember off the top of my head:— Ernest HemingwayHe spoke on the phone to someone and said "I got that thing. That Swedish thing, you know?" something like that Seems a bit posturing to me, which fits EH.— Richard FeynmanIn his book (Surely You’re Joking) he says he got a phone call late at night when he was in bed.He took it, hung up. His wife said "who was that?" and he said "oh just someone telling me I won the Nobel Prize" and she said "right" and they went back to sleep. He said he was always trying to put one over on her by saying something that was true in such a way she would think he was joking, and usually she spotted it, but he got her that time.
>Yesterday I called OP a faggot.>Normal day.
Is that the whole poem?

>>25622177This is the publisher's fault for indulging her. Send it back and tell her to finish it, what's she gonna do? Poets can post lazy shit on their blog.
>>25622215Feynman is such an annoying cretin, I had to drop reading that book out of self respect. You'd think such an incredibly intelligent individual who is responsible for such beautiful and intuitive interpretations of the world would have interesting things to share. But he seems to have prolongated his annoying nerdy early teenager mental phase for the entirety of his life. His autobiography consists of a constant flux of dogshit anecdotes, such as the one cited. He can't help himself but lie and subvert everything during any social interaction he takes part in because he'd rather do that than actually contribute to any discussion in a constructive way. At the very least he's a perverted, but still very intelligent guy. He makes the mistake of attributing every difference he has from other people to his superior intelligence and therefore doesn't bother to question and improve his social skills. But then you have people that copy his and other eccentric and intelligent people's mannerisms because they recognize that they sometime correlate positively with intelligence without understanding why or how. That's how you get reddit.
>>25624816His social skills were very good, though. By all accounts he was gregarious, well-liked, and suffered from having too much female attention rather than not enough. His ironic and aloof personality is probably a learned response to annoying college strivers or a defense mechanism from losing his high school sweetheart at a young age. But he's still capable of genuine sincerity.

>>25622336So many old writers would be exposed as bumbling retards if they could write to an audience without an editor or publisher.
