>found pic related completely, utterly incomprehensibleDid I get filtered? How retarded am I?
>>25621571By filtered, do you mean I can see your post?If so then yes I can see it
havent read it but isn't this for young adults?
>>25621571I read the first couple pages and it just gives me reddit discord vibes
It really does shove you in its world. One of its charms if you can enjoy it
>>25621571I made a topic a few days ago after I finished it. It's a waste of time and you should read anything else, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep etc. I hated Neuromancer by the end and still do.
>>25621577No. The writing is too difficult. Anybody on this board should be fine, but for most sci fi readers it might as well be Finnegan's Wake.
>>25621571You are extremely retarded. The only really complex idea is the two AI and their approach to personalities and what that might mean.
>>25621571What didn't you understand? The lingo? The plot is simplicity itself.Wintermute wants to connect with Neuromancer to create a singularity, and for that he employs a team of mercenaries, including Molly, Case, the guy with the holograms and ArmitageThe other books are much harder to understand, but the story of them is also much less interesting.
>>25621571It's not hard to read unless you mean the way it jumps around. Bit too fast paced for my liking.
>>25621571Case is supposed to be 24 but this cover makes him look like a 40 year old drug addict.
>>25621571No. It's frankly not a very good book imo. It's a hot mess. It rightly receives praise for the world it created, but I didn't find it to be an enjoyable read. PKD is kind of in the same vein for me. They're "idea" guys, and I often feel like the reading experience/execution comes second. I had no interest in reading anything else by Gibson after reading Neuromancer.
I didn't get it completely my first read as a teenager either. It clicked later on. The next few books are even more weird if you can believe it, going more into Neuromancer and Wintermute's motivation for merging and why Lady Tessier had them made in the first place, plus the third one might as well be cyberpunk slice of life, minus the climax.
>>25621571It is the most overrated book ever.
>>25621860I’m sorry but you’re obviously primary a Redditor, so I can’t take your opinion seriously.
>>25621571I read through it as an adult and found it manageable. What are you struggling on?The themes? Prose? hard time following the plot? Don't mean to talk down but please don't tell me it's the vocabulary.
>>25621571You definitely got filtered and have some mild retardation. I read Neuromancer in middle school and had no problems understanding it. Mona Lisa Overdrive, on the other hand, definitely confused me until I re-read it once I got older.
>>25622723there's no need for this sort of absurd hyperbole just because you didn't like the book
uh oh, someone started a story more complicated than elden ring lore, uh oh!
>>25621571Is a great book that makes litrannies seethe in anger like these >>25622723 >>25621860 megatroons. You have severe retardation however, kill yourself.
