Let’s have a discussion about dishonesty being a better policy. I have fallen into the trap of being too honest, it’s driving me insane.
Remember Anon, you can always lie by omission. You don't always have to straight-up lie, there can just be things you don't tell people.
People who don't hold truth as sacred ads evil.
>>25619430truth and beauty are the only things worth holding as sacred
>>25619781You have forgotten goodness, Anon.
>>25619781>>25619789uhh lovebros? we've been forgotten
>>25619415I don't see how being honest could ever be a trap. When you're honest no one can use anything against you, because you're honest about yourself and your feelings. If anything, the times when I have been dishonest are the times where I am the most trapped. I become tangled in a net of dishonesty that I even fail to know myself. When I am honest with the world nothing ever fazes me. Of course, occassionally you have to Odysseus-max to get yourself out of difficult situations, but otherwise one shouldn't ever be dishonest unless they want all the baggage that comes with it.
>>25619415Being dishonest is obviously incredibly useful. There are even entire patterns of speech designed around lying and obfuscating the truth, e.g. corpo speak. At least 50% of corporate meetings are "why isn't X done yet" and you need to be able to bullshit for 5 minutes to make your boss happy.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1caWc8ZF_8
Has anyone read Unruly? It looks really good, I keep waiting for it to be on sale.
