Considering Socrates saved the life of his boyfriend and was offered high honors but refused them so his boyfriend could receive the award, that is unsurprising.
One time when I was like five my dad snuck a bunch of bananas into the monkey house at the zoo and started throwing them to the monkies for my entertainment. The reaction was immediate, deafening howling and superactivity in the monkey cage, dozens of them literally bouncing off the walls, grabbing anything that might be food from the ground or each other, any of them who went to hide in a corner wrestled out of it in suspicion, lest they have found a banana and be able it to keep it to themselves. The bananas were gone in less than a minute and at that point, either in desperation for a resupply or enraged at having been cheated out of their fair share, many of the monkeys starting scooping handfuls of their shit off the floor of the monkey house and throwing it at us and we had to flee.I imagine that's what the level and intensity of the old on young gay sex was like every night back in the camp of a Greek army on campaign.
