I know He is the one and only true God, because even the world testifies about Him. Let anyone with ears to hear come to me and listen: What do you think? The sun and the moon, are they up there for no reason at all? By no means. They have been there since the beginning as to testify to the truth.As the sun gives life to the earth, so does the Father give life to you. And as the moon reflects the sun’s light, even so the Son reflects the Father’s light. If you look at the sun, you will become blind, but by looking at the moon, you are able to receive the sun’s light. The moon has no light of its own; its light belongs to the sun, and by looking at the moon, you are able to receive the otherwise blinding light. In this are fulfilled His words: “The Father is greater than I” and “I and the Father are one.”Or again, it is like the image in the mirror and the one who stands before it. The image in the mirror is him, but he is not the image in the mirror. Yet, the image in the mirror and the one who stands before it are one and the same. Even so, the Father and the Son are one. In this are fulfilled His words: “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.” If you want to know what the Father is like, look at the Son, for the Son is the image of the Father in the flesh.This is what the Father requires of you: to listen to His Son and to live according to His teaching. Do this, and no one can take away your crown. Anyone who does not let His teaching transform them is not of the truth, and anyone who twists His teaching as to not give up their own selfish worldly desires is detestable.Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.
Do not think repentance means asking Him for forgiveness over and over again. This is repentance: that you turn to Him sincerely and turn from your ways.The true law is not a set of rules, but a state of being, revealed in Christ: love, compassion, justice, mercy, faithfulness, humility, and impartiality. These are what the Father seeks.It is better to enter the ark before it begins to rain.Tradition will not save you, nor will religion save you. Neither your church nor denomination will save you. Not one ritual will ever save you, but the transformed heart will save you.Turn to Him sincerely and put the self to death through grace and perseverance, truth will always be pushed aside as long as the self sits on the throne of God.
