Fair point. Could do PO box, but these motherfuckers are too damn unaffordable here.

Sounds cute, will we suck each other's cocks too?

Your best bet if you really want something like this is to check out organizations that put people in touch with long-term prisoners.

There are people who are held in solitary confinement for a billion years (possibly for not even doing anything you would consider wrong, e.g. political prisoners) for whom letter-writing is the only human contact.

You managed to pinpoint the exact demography that I’m genuinely weirded out of and actually want to avoid about this whole thing.

Me in the background.

Only if I get some gifts with it too. Dried flowers and tea leaves, stamps from your country, a drawing made by you, scraps from neat chocolate packaging, postcards, and more. D‘accord?

Just give anon your neighbours address.

>he doesn't go through his neighbours post

I have done it in the past. With someone from here and someone from /b/.
We'd write letters and include postcards and small tokens (stickers, bus tickets, polaroids) in the envelope.

It was fun for a couple of years. Then things just kind of petered out.
I still write and send out tons of snail mail (mostly postcards, occasionally letters), i am intermittently working on a postcard blog/project when I'm not working on my other project (which is /tg/ related), and that does help in keeping me motivated in getting stuff out in the mail.

Receiving and sending physical correspondence has to be one of the greatest lost pleasures of our times.

If you or anyone has any question I'll be happy to respond.

I used to date a girl long distance and would write her postcards from everywhere I went; I traveled a LOT for my job. I miss doing that, writing postcards for a cute girl.

Ryokai! But you need to be comfortable with wax sealed letter locks.

Okay, this is totally a dumb question that I always get shunned and downvoted for - how would you start a conversation with a total stranger? I saw that people from mail exchange subs talk about interests in their intro posts - are you supposed to talk about that?

Also, do you use PO box? Giving an actual address is a legit concern that would always stop me.

I did meet a girl from /r9k/ in my early twenties. Yes there were girls there back then. I do notvrecall the precise process of exchange of deets. It was mildly awkward but still fun. Two years or so later we made contact again, I wanted to take hervt to a splore the city storm sewer system (rain water buried river not sanitary) but she did not want to go walking around literally in underground rivers running for some distance alone with a man she hardly knew. I was sad and also felt a bit of ‘cringe’ at myself for being so bold as to want to loterally dive underground with a woman, no sex involved necessarily. We are strange animals.

Generally you'd start with an introduction.
You can be as detailed or as vague as you want.

Name, age, profession, background, hobbies, family situation, what you like to eat/do/read.
You can add or avoid as many topics as you want.

There's no need to be exhaustive in the first letter, just write something that gets you started in writing more, maybe something you saw, or a discussion you've had with your brother. It really doesn't matter.
Ask some questions... i mean it's just a slower and more fragmented conversation you'd have with anyone.

As for the address, at the time i just gave them mine (which admittedly wasn't too smart). Nowadays, with people i already know i use my home's, with new people I'd use my work's (which happens to be a public place). I did try a PO box once, but the price did not make it worth it.

Gay kisses sound nice contrary to what you tried to convey
>>
>>25615626
I struggle with conversations in real life, and my small talks turn out pretty painful for both parties, so this is very helpful, thanks!
>>
>>25617420
What? All I was saying was I hope your lips and face aren't too scratched from beard stubble when your gay bf kisses your cock-guzzling homo lips
