I feel like physically, I'm capable of having a fairly passing voice, but whenever I try to voice train I'm just overcome with this intense self-hatred and belief that I deserve to have a disgusting man-voice and it makes my body like self-correct to make my voice deeper.
The rare times I feel confident in myself, my voice sounds great, but for some reason I'm just keeping myself in this horrible slog.
Have any of you dealt with this? Do you have any advice to escape from this hell?

I'm kinda worried about wasting time on useless techniques or potentially fucking up my voice with bad ones. But hearing voices I want to emulate keeps reminding me I need to lock the fuck in.
Oh and hearing my own voice is agonizing I still don't know how to fully get over that.
No pain no gain, I guess

it takes an immense amount of mental fortitude to not have my voice falter as soon as i hear it

This sounds like some kind of subconscious mental block thing, like how athletes talk about "the yips". I experience it too and I haven't conquered it but my best advice is to not think too hard about it. Like you, I psych myself into thinking I can't do it, but then if i mindlessly repeat something a woman says on the radio it comes out naturally. There's also the possibility that the muscles involved in this are too weak and I need to practice endurance.

I have used an abundance of supportiveness for every other walk of my transition and it's gone famously.

I tell myself my girl voice is terrible and i listen to me.

Dammit.

I got to the point where I could do a really well passing voice in training, then I was faced with using it in daily life and it felt like completely disingenuous fake lying bullshit. I withdrew from voice training for over a year and haven't gotten back to the point I was still. I worry that I'll never stop being a voice hon
