>>45168943true. it reminds me of this post i saw from a foid who was mid-40s and had no retirement savings and just a few hundred dollars in her bank account. idk how you get to that point. i had a few rough patches in my 20s where i didn't make much money and was financially insecure so i made sure to save like hell whenever i could. any month where things were going well i just threw as much money as i could into savings. now i'm 30 and i at least have the peace of mind of knowing that if i lost my job or broke up with my bf and needed to find my own place it wouldn't lead to financial ruin because i have a healthy emergency fund, and my pension fund is looking good too. because of this my life is a lot more enjoyable now and i feel like i can actually invest in myself. the health part is super important too, i'm glad i quit drinking, never smoked or did drugs and started going to the gym and found a sport i love doing while i was still young. super excited for my 30s, my 20s were a bit of a struggle but i worked hard and took opportunities that came my way and it paid off.
