I'm tired of "gifted kid" discourse by has-been losers reminiscing about when they were smarter than other children once. Even worse if it's academics, they deserve all hell.
>>45161947I was a "gifted kid" and I'm a complete loser failure.
I've always been a fucking dumbass I just actually did my homework
>>45161947its always people well past their adolescence posting garbage like this too
>>45161947images like this kind of reinforce my worldview that trannyism is little more than a disease autistic losers fall prey tot. tranny
>>45162044This. Except I'm still hung up on the 'what if' of eventually getting a gf and having a family even though that's not happening. It almost feels like I have a choice to troon or not to troon.t. autistic loser
I was a "gifted kid" but in retrospect I don't think that "gifted" is a real thing. I basically just had a high IQ and did well on standardized tests but otherwise was a spazz who never did homework and skipped school so much I was finally expelled in high school. My sister was not "gifted" but she did her homework, went to class, and got As. But somehow I was the special one? Clearly their metrics were questionable.
being told and treated like I was different or special by all of the people in my life made me burn out faster
>>45161947>I'm tired of "gifted kid" discoursei'm tired of ex-gifted kids tranniesi'm tired of myself
>>45161947It comes across as very pathetic. Being in a couple special classes two decades ago definitely did not impact anybody in any real way. Maybe if they skipped grade levels and graduated high school early or their parents completely ruined their lives by pressuring them until breaking down, but those are different things. It's just a way for unremarkable people to act like they're better than others.
i was “gifted” up until i got raped in college and now 8 years later i still havent graduated imCompletely dysfunctional and im a lateshit cause the rape stopped me from getting hrt at 18. can i call myself a former gifted kid
>>45161947Literally born in a safe environment, in the richest country in the world, and as a white person. The bar for gifted is low af if you think about it
>>45162651>I was a "gifted kid" but in retrospect I don't think that "gifted" is a real thing. I basically just had a high IQ and did well on standardized tests but otherwise was a spazz who never did homework and skipped school so much I was finally expelled in high school.are you me? frankly I think the issue is that gifted kids tend to have rich parents whose bribing only works on elementary school teachers. either way the dumbass/midwit who studies diligently is infinitely more respectable than the smart kid who blames everyone but themselves for their laziness
>>45161947This is gonna be a crazy take, but straight up? I feel like more people were told they were "gifted" than were actually gifted and it actually isn't much of an achievement to get good grades in high school.
>>45161947still caring so much about school/college after graduating/getting your degree in general is fucking pathetic tbqh
>>45161956>>45162651>>45162722 I was born in Illinois and I was the dumbest kid in school
Intelligence is overrated and completely misunderstood as a concept i.e. chuds who think Unabomber's schizo boomer ramblings about politics were correct just because he was good at math, lmao.
>>45162753I got my degree in the mail one day and said huh thats cool I guess and chucked it in a drawer and never thought about it again until now. I did not feel satisfied. I did not even feel relieved. I went through college with zero support and the only thing that kept me sane was reading stories in a secluded basement on campus.
>>45162778That's not the reason Ted is admired, but his ideology and the fact that he criticized leftists. 99% of people who know about him either arent aware or don't give a shit about his loser math phd
>>45161947I'm shameless enough to just admit that I always had a combination of random natural skills/abilities but was always too much of a lazy, fatalistic, bump-on-a-log 'tard to ever have the good sense to apply any of that to something productive. i was always stupid in the only way that truly matters ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>>45164583how do people still try to pull the "im so smart and talented but also im sooooo lazy aha" shit in 2026, whats the point of skills that never get used? reeks of someone just deluding themselves into overestimating their own capabilities, if only the inaction stopped! they'd finally be successful!!
>>45161947Being diagnosed as gifted gave everyone an out to not interact with me and reduce me to my intelligence. Genuinely one of the worst things to ever happen to me.I see contradictions everywhere, logical fallacies, lack of experience and plain cowardice but after more than two decades of trying to fight back I just don't talk to anyone anymore and get high by myself cause I can't change people or make them like me.
>>45164615i'm not saying i'm a genius lol i just mean i can recognize that i have strengths that, if i had more determination, i could probably parlay into something that would pay a little bit above entry-level. i did not struggle with classes the same way i saw some of my peers do, many of whom are now very successful.
>>45161947It's definitely bum loser talk, reminiscing on things they'll never have again>I used to be>I wasSame vibe as the people who say they could've gone pro if they didn't sprain their leg or something
>>45161947I graduated third in my class in high school. Didn't do as well in college due to depression, but have had an OK time at life despiting repping till my early thirties.I'm not ambitious at all though. Just recently left my previous job of 8 years. New job is a 14k paycut.
>>45164643>I see contradictions everywhere, logical fallaciesle intj face>>45164656its pretty much the potential man meme but completely unironically
>>45161947being a "gifted kid" just means you had time to read books and do your homework because you were a loser
>>45165801nope I smoked weed, skipped 60% of classes, played Minecraft or the piano and still graduated top of class
Gifted student is sometimes an autist who uses pattern recognition and interest to exceed in studies early on, but it only carries you so far, and by high school level and after it's no longer enough by itself
>>45165854Well at least you used to be smarter than a bunch of children sometime.
being a "gifted kid" literally just means scoring high enough on an iq test that you get put in special classesI was in a gifted program, it was fun I guess. Better than a regular class at leastit really doesn't mean anything and I see more people talk about "discourse" on the internet over it than I have ever seen it talked about in person with my "gifted" friendsmaybe there's just a lot of 14 year olds on the internet to whom which class you were in as a kid seems more important
>>45165854Damn man if only you didn't get that injury, you could've gone pro
>>45165928honestly you seem kinda bitter
>>45165938I'm not the other poster you were talking to lol I'm just making a joke
>>45165940and I'm not the poster you replied toit's just funny to see people here saying stuff like >I was in a gifted program though I didn't work very hard, and it was ok but didn't mean muchand then like the other half of the replies are all>gifted people are such LOSERS who are OBSESSED with being gifted and they weren't even that smart and intelligence is overrated anyway!kinda feels like there's two different conversations going on
>>45165971I do think it's losery to identify with the label, that may or may not apply to the people itt
