>A Russian Su-57 caught fire and burned down completely during engine startup at Akhtubinsk airfield on October 29, per AND, making it the fourth Su-57 lost this year against a production rate of only about four jets annually. Why is it so shit?
>>65621242>engine burns ok that can happen I guess ?>the plane ends up in a field how the fuck ? Did the engine failure end up setting the other engine at full throttle ? At this point the incompetence is on purpose
>>65621242why the fuck is it just sitting out in a cow paddock?
>>65621262Was getting ready for the bbq, duh
Is that really a 57 ? The airframe looks more like a 35
>>65621242>a production rate of only about four jets annually.>almost 5 years of war how is this possible how have they not ramped up production ?
>>65621271It had foreign parts in it that are now unavailable.
>>65621271Sanctions make electronics for radars, weapons and avionics extremely scarce and Russia is trying to produce a 5th gen fighter while at the same time modernizing their Su-35, Su-34, Su-33, Su-30, Mig-31 and Mig-29s.There were also QC issues on the engines and airframes. They only started fielding flat exhaust nozzles this year.
>>65621274Not if the USA has anything to say about it
>>65621266Don't be silly you can't fatten a plane up for slaughter on some shitty siberian field. Hay and silage are called for at least!
For an aviation research and development facility, the pavement outside of the main runway appears to be in poor condition.Could this be the result of an accident where an aircraft veered off the path while taxiing?
>>65621242>making it the fourth Su-57 lost this year against a production rate of only about four jets annuallyStrategic advantage of maintaining a big fat "stealth" aircraft that falls apart faster than you can build them?
>>65621280>Don't be silly you can't fatten a plane upYou underestimate my power.
>>65621255Maybe they've taken to moving planes off the apron and hiding them under camo nets
>>65621242>EXTREMELY LOUD FART NOICE.mp3
>>65621262You'd be impressed at how poorly defended a ton of Russian airfields are. It's not uncommon to have some absolutely stereotypical slav hovels directly adjacent to a single chain link fence that separates a direct path to aircraft in the open. My personal favorite was where you could see several MiG31 a couple hundred feet from a public road, protected by only a couple waist high fences. You can argue that in the age of small available drones that's not much worse than alot of other airbases in the world, but some of the examples you can find just on google street view are absurd
>>65621663Isn't that because putin is hoarding all the 'good' russian air defenses for himself?
>>65621262Indian export model, pls understand
>>65621722Not even talking about air defenses, I'm saying that one dude with a molotov could destroy one of these in 45 seconds and be back in their car
>>65621242Unironically it’s because of sanctions.
>>65621242i bet it got stuck in the mud. they but turn on after burner field catches fire. and the after burns
>>65621280All natural gras fed (((fifth))) gen fighter, motherfucker.

>>65621242>>65621243These don't look even remotely like su57s though
In other news, two Su-34s got whacked yesterday.

>>65621279Calm down, shill.

>>65621242To take the devil's advocate it's a jet that's going through the same teething issues that the F-22 only fully got over like 10 years ago (10 years after its introduction).Regardless the US is the only country with a real true fifth-generation fighter jet.
>>65622835>US is the only country with a real true fifth-generation fighter jetLamo. Chink also have fifth-generation fighter jet with cheaper prices, thanks to their locally made component.
>>65621242>against a production rate of only about four jets annuallyI do not believe this for a second

>>65623292When Western analysts which are infinitely more qualified than any of the mewling retards in this cesspit concur that the Chinese jets at least cross the threshold into being 5th generation I'm inclined to agree.
>>65623289I work in an industry that white labels Chinese products. They are 100% lying man.
>>65623299>Western analysts Imao. Lmao even. You are not fooling anyone
>>65623305I don't particularly care what the low-effort bait poster believes, especially in 4chan.
>>65623308Exactly. Which means that calling chinkesoid jets 5th gen is already low effort shilling

>>65623324So what?? Russia literally have hundreds of them.Wake me up when their drones managed to strike down Su-57.
>>65623385It already happened twice puccian cum guzzler
>>65621746Operation Spooderweb, maybe one of the most effective long range strikes of the early 21st centuryAlso... maybe punching handicapped downies trying to get on the short bus
>>65623448>April 25, 2026 (Shagol Airfield, Chelyabinsk Region): Ukrainian drones struck deep (about 1,700 km from the border) inside Russia, damaging or destroying multiple aircraft including Su-57 fighters at the Shagol air base>Akhtubinsk Airfield Attack (June 2024): Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) reported a historic long-range drone strike that damaged an Su-57 at the Akhtubinsk test center in Astrakhan Oblast, marking the first time the high-value stealth fighter was hit on the groundBack to chug filthy zigger
>>65623385>didn't need them anywayAt this rate every Su-57 will ACK themselves before any drone can reach them
>>65622689That was assumed by default.
>>65623308>I don't particularly care what the low-effort bait poster believesSo why would we?
>>65623460Operation Spooderweb and the operation Grim Beeper where the most hilarious intelligence ops of the 21th century. Just James-Bond-tier shit

>>65621757>i bet it got stuck in the mud. they but turn on after burner field catches fire. and the after burnslol, that sounds extremely plausible.I lost a car in a very similar way except that the hot engine bay set some reed grass on fire instead of an afterburner doing the job.>>65621783>It's called a high trust society fat americuntlol, you deserve your (You)s.
Circus balloons have appeared over northern moscow, the fuel depot next to the international airport is having celebratory BBQ
>>65623702Russia literally has hundreds of tanks, too.
They drained Pantsir ammo stocks using cheap decoys made of cardboard and tinfoil. The ziggers described the body as compressed cardboard so I'm really curious if these are the aussie ikea drones.
>>65623716*had
>>65623708How kind of the Ukies to send pinatas to the Russians! Looks like chivalry isn't dead after all.
>>65623717I think theres a few of them now including a type from Japan, ultimately its all variations on a theme, waxed cardboard, sticky tape and some sort of engine, flight controller and just send it off to feed n sneed the AAA cucks.Wonder if they've come up with some lulz like the old school aluminum chaff windows to give the radars something to look at?>>65623768The hilarity is me thinking a few weeks back that Budanov sends russian kids some helium cylinders and aluminium coated party balloons to let off near the airport would have the normies shrieking and shidding in the seats there while someone comes up with a way of getting rid of Happy 21st and Good Luck inflatables delaying flightsBlowing up their fuel with drones and balloons... bit more aggressive!
>>65623716And they used to have thousands
>>65623611Why is Russia so adverse to using hardened aircraft shelters anyway?
>>65623717Based ukies
>>65623846Too expensive and not enough stealth aircraft to make it worth it in their opinion.
>>65623292I'll believe "chinesoid propaganda" over yours when it actually aligns with the overwhelming majority of people who have an actual clue about all of this - like, you know, experts and actual fuckign airforces and national intelligence agencies - as it does in this case. You're not special enough to get to claim you know better than everybody else and have peopel nto laugh in your face. Seethe more about it.
>>65623846>>65623910Also, any funding they did put towards hardened shelters for aircraft would probably get embezzled because "Why making shelter for aircrafts, comrade? We are not of war!"
>>65621746>one dude with a molotov could destroy one of these in 45 seconds
So this is the “better than the f35” jet I’ve been hearing about…How are the vatjeet’s vehicle stocks looking anyways?
