Apparently a ton of the guys who try for the Seals prepare for it by going on PEDs. It's kind of nuts.

People pay thousands of dollars to get smoked by 50 year old former Culinary Specialists in parking lot of a Chula Vista Planet Fitness, it's insane.Later in life I worked with an old 80s Cold War-era SEAL who said the career field was completely unrecognizable from when he was in. I looked at his old photos and everyone was a skinny lanklet from all the swimming and diving they did. Every one of them is on gear now.
