After watching >9000 youtube videos, I'm convinced Handcuffs are archaic and poorly designed. If any subject resists at all, and sometimes even when they don't, even a team of multiple cops struggle to get them on for a prolonged period of time without injuring the suspect, or themselves. We can do better in the current year can't we?

A poke ball would work great

    ASP hinge cuffs are great.
    >>
    >>65621096
They say you have an entire flex cuff worth of microplastics in your brain

    >using chain link cuffs in 2026
    >>
Behold, we turn to the classics for your solution
    >>
maybe we should use the fluffy kinky kind so as to not harm the wrists.
    >>
    >>65621107
Still doesn't solve trying to secure the wrists of a sweaty writhing suspect with clothing binding up the actual cuff bar from entering the lock channel.
    >>
The only real improvements I can think of would be replacing the chain links with retractable cable for when a suspect is resisting and you can’t get their hands behind their back which comes with spooling and reliability issues and electrifying them to pacify resisting junkie retards but I’m sure the politicians would cry about that.

    >even a team of multiple cops struggle to get them on for a prolonged period of time without injuring the suspect
Not a bug but a feature.
    >>
    >>65621107
They also cause nerve damage, which is why a lot of department have banned them.
    >>
    >>65621340
    >or themselves

    It's a bug.
    >>
    >>65621470
    How?
    And proofs??
    >>
    >>65621470
    > They also cause nerve damage
    No they don’t.
    > which is why a lot of department have banned them.
    No they haven’t. Lying dumbass.
    >>
You want them to struggle so you can tack on resisting arrest to whatever they did
    >>
    >>65621470
Use plush cuffs then, they're not expensive.
    >>
    >>65621534
Because they're rigid hinge cuffs, when put on improperly, cause nerve entrapment at the wrist due to radial flexture of the opposite hand pinching the nerves on the wrist of the other. Chain cuffs do not have this problem because they can freely twist.
The problem is it's REALLY easy to put hinge cuffs on improperly, especially when you have a wriggling negro fighting you over 20 dollars and a banana. It's best to just not risk it, which is why a lot of departments mandate chain cuffs only.
    >>65621550
    See above
    >>

Literally none of what you said is true. Nearly the only time chain cuffs are used is during transports when the legs are also shackled.
    > which is why a lot of departments mandate chain cuffs only.
Again, this is not a thing.
    >>
    >>65622447
    >no, you're objective reality is wrong because it makes my feelings hurt
    >>
    >>65622442
They should just beat the suspect unconscious with a billy club before application of the handcuffs
    Look at this jolly fellow
    >>
    >>65621096
    >multiple cops struggle to get them on for a prolonged period of time without injuring the suspect
This is by design. The cops take their time putting them on so they can yell "Stop resisting!" and keep choking, kneeing and tasing the suspect.

I was a Deputy Sheriff for 4 years. For a chunk of that I was a transport officer. I’ve done prisoner transports from 7 different states and have served arrest warrants with several agencies including the FBI. Literally zero of them have mandated chain cuffs and hinged remains the standard.

    >poorly trained cops have issues restraining skinny chomos in cuffs
    >this is the fault of the restraints
Anyway the correct solution is rapid cuffs

    With 7 cent solutions.

    I CAN BREAK THOSE CUFFS
    >>
    >>65622671
You can't break those cuffs sir
    >>
    >>65621096
Personally, I always thought those nooses at the end of poles like the Chinese use were interesting. You don’t have to approach the suspect, although you can only successfully ensnare the suspect if you try at the same time as multiple others with similar nooses. It’s still quite dangerous to try to put handcuffs on some people.

We have those here in the US although ordinarily they're used for animals, not people.
