I think that stark white on an ar is ugly as fuck especially since they dont really have any good looking rollmarks anymore, but an aged off white on a garand or something looks pretty good

ive used some simple model paints, come out great when the manufacturer does a good job with their engravings. ive had others that are so shallow that its not worth the trouble.

I do, and you don't want to use nail polish. Use enamel paints instead
>>65619842This is my work, i post this and the Glocks / shields I've done. After you color the area with a paintbrush you can soak a piece of gauze in acetone and wipe, it will lift all the paint off that's not in the lettering. It's simple and comes out clean and professional looking
