The Tac-Sac is notable not just for its appearance, but also because the ATF officially endorsed it as the only vertical foregrip you can legally put on a pistol. Because its main purpose is decorative and you have to hold it by cupping the balls instead of normal vfg holds

Actually. Since my thread is still up.

Rifle Grenades just fit the barrel and seem uncomplicated vs. Spigots grenades which need an attachment.

What do you think is better choice? Or would you prefer both.

there's a game which name i can't remember anymore, that has a stake gun. it's about zombies or some otherworldy shit, can't recall. the stake gun is extremely satisfying to use in that game.

    >>65615550
Dude spend some time watching noob gun videos about how they work and how to use them. Then go to Wikipedia and pick a gun, any gun, and read up on their use in nation's militaries. FOR EXAMPLE:

    >spigot muzzle device for ak rifles
    >specifically used in conjunction with a gas shut off to launch rifle grenades
    >used primarily by former Yugoslavia
    >rifle was loaded with a blank cartridge(you can skip this for your game and won't be a big deal) to fire the grenade

    EXAMPLE 2:

    >suppressed M16
    >actually really fucking loud irl
    >bullet still moving faster than speed of sound
    >shoot subsonic rounds for actually quiet gun
    >range limited
    >power reduced
    >but quiet

    And do not forget:
    >reloading a gun with a fresh magazine, if there is still a round in the chamber, make gun hold one mag plus the extra 1 in the chamber
    >>
    >>65618423
    >reloading a gun with a fresh magazine, if there is still a round in the chamber, make gun hold one mag plus the extra 1 in the chamber
    with some exceptions
    >revolvers
    >double-barrelled shotguns
    >top-loading bolt action rifles
on the subject, am I correct in understanding that open bolt guns also don't do that? no personal experience with them to confirm
    >>
    >>65618466
Yes, open bolt guns do not one one in the chamber unless it's currently firing. Pps43 is probably the best open bolt smg that was ever made btw
    >>
    >>65615550
You kinda need to give us an idea for what you're going for with your game, style, tone, etc.

    >>65615781
No longer matters (in most states), so just get them for style points. Just realized you could put a real stock and an FRT in pic related and go nuts.

    >>65618466
Yeah, a round is only in the chamber on an open-bolt gun if it's being fired (or tried to be fired but the round's a dud). Also there's a very brief, but perceptible delay, between pulling the trigger and the gun firing, as a result.

    >>65618502
PPS43 is really good (great magazine and extremely cost and time efficient), but the stock is a bit balls. Other really good ones from WW2 include the Owen and Beretta 1938/42. After WW2 you had some even better stuff, like the Carl Gustaf, Sterling, and Uzi.

For being an SMG still rocking a full wooden rifle stock as late as 1942 (and beyond), the 1938/42 is pretty damn solid, and well economized.

    >we actually don't need to machine out a tubular receiver from fucking barstock, mama mia, how wasteful
    >just bend a sheet of steel around a mandrel and weld the seams, then cut a slot for the charging handle, perfectly good
    >this is 9mm, do we actually need fully adjustable rifle sights? let's do simpler two position ones
    >aaalso we don't really need a vented shroud, nix it, it'll make the gun lighter anyway
    >we could make the stock out of laminate wood by the way, it's cheaper and faster, and just as strong
    >also we can omit the front end of it, then we can use less wood and shorter pieces, skip the barrel band, and also make the gun even lighter
    >do we really need to keep fluting the barrel?
And still what they had was a really rugged and reliable subgun which everyone loved and trusted, even if it wasn't as fancy as the original 1938 version, but it was way cheaper and faster to make.
    >>
    >>65618423
    >reloading a gun with a fresh magazine, if there is still a round in the chamber, make gun hold one mag plus the extra 1 in the chamber
this is pretty trivial to implement btw

No one wants to have to load magazines with individual rounds in a game unless it's a shotgun tube.
Loading mags with stripper clips and spoons might be acceptable.
