Pocket carry is convenient, easy to shoot if you practice a bit, and two shells of 000 is pretty devastating at contact distance.

>It is your fault that kid is dead, don't you know bathtubs only have 1/16th to 3/8s inches soft steel or brittle 'Iron' protection and a S&B or 1950s steel core Soviet round can do 32 inches of soft tissue pentation? An infant or even pre adolescents can only be relied on for 6 inches of soft armor, 8-10 it they are attacking your opponent. The last case is rare, effective child soldiers are only usable once they hit 10-12, early bloomers are potential officers.

nta but I briefly thought about getting an LCP. Friend let me hold his LCP max recently. Honestly feels good in the hands. I have this autistic idea that it would be sick to carry an extended mag and throw in an FRT if they exist.
Anyway, I recently picked up some HST’s for pic rel. I plan to start carrying again soon.
>>
>>65601906
I have the 4046 double action only and it's probably my least favorite gun I have. Its just too fat for me. Well made and everything though. I used to have a 4006 and that was better to shoot but same size problem.
>>
>>65601937
A fair try, but be a little more subtle next time. You're too hyperbolic. Tone it down and you'll have plenty of yous next time.

>>
>>65601878
It's not bad. I didn't like the hogue on my Glock 30, but I guess I could test it on the S&W. What I need is a better holster. The spare mag keeps wanting to slip. What about that TLR light, how hard was that to graft on?
>>
>>65602011
>graft on
I just took a Shield 9 TLR and slightly cut a little plastic for it to fit.
Neptune concealment and Falco make holsters that fit it.

They seem to be taking their time over at Smith & Wesson (meantime introducing other new carry guns Shield X, Bodyguard 2.0) with this.

I will never put a red dot on a pistol. I do not understand why anyone would want to add that to a carry gun.

if you carry aiwb then the added dimensions of a red dot barely affect overall comfort or concealability.

you dont want to put a red dot on a pistol because you want to be a contrarian.

>variant Shield 45
That would essentially be a compact M&P 45, which is the size of a G19 already.
I'd be interested if they made a Shield .45 Plus though where it was somehow in-between a Shield .45 and compact M&P.

Wrong.
(and I'm not interested in or getting an M&P Compact either)

The Shield 45 Plus [will be] the exact same handgun—not even an added front rail, keep it the same—except for the revised trigger and perhaps ? a few tiny cosmetic differences e.g. grip texturing; same as what happened to the Shield 9 Plus, when it was introduced.

The VP9cc is still significantly thinner than a VP9sk and similar sized overall even with those accessories and the extended mag. It's much smaller than if I added the same things to the VP9. I carry full sized handguns regularly too so it's not like it's placing some outrageous burden on me to have an optic and light on a small handgun.

Makes me a little sad since I have much nicer handguns however pocket carry is too convenient an option to pass up. Bonus points for also letting me carry everywhere including work without fear of being caught with a concealed weapon.
I do eventually want to get a classy J frame though.

PX4s are really pretty. They always remind me of 90s scifi
>>
>>65615290
(ok i believe you) Sounds like you have a wide range of different handgun system options. For simplicity, my previous post was indirectly suggesting 'why get another syatem' because at least with the VP9SK you have magazine compatibility with VP9/P30, but the cc just adds in another different type of magazine.

My P30 was one of my regular carry guns before I got the VP9cc. The mag compatibility just isn't that important to me just for daily carry purposes vs comfort and capability. I have several other P30s, a P2000, and a USP9c so I already had plenty of other cross-compatible mag options.

I don't have an sk, just a regular P2000. I like it though. It's got some nice quality of life upgrades from the USP9c.
