It's the same thing over and over. Life keeps getting worse each year. Still waiting for some type of Misaki figure to come into my life since I'm too tired to do anything by myself.
    >>
It's been a bad couple of months. My best friend since childhood is getting married, and I feel like him getting hitched means the loss of my connection to the outside world. He's already talked to me less and less over the passed months, so it just seems like it reinforces this idea, even though I'm sure he wouldn't be adverse to me visiting. I've been trying to reach out on Discord/social media to try and cultivate any friends, but at this point, (I believe) people can see how disconnected I am and steer clear from me. I have other friends but it's been like 5-6 years since I last talked to any of them in a meaningful way. I tried every month to see how they were doing and try to give good vibes, but they never really reached out back, so I decided "well, I'll just stop reaching out to them." Big mistake. At least there's plenty of games on my backlog and free movies I can escape from reality and forget things like creature comfort and camaraderie exists.

I talked to a girl like that online when I was younger, she even told me she waited outside of my apartment once, but then she got tiree of my bullshit, gave up and started dating another guy. Rip. What's your life like and how do you support yourself?

    >>51357247
It's still possible to make friends online imo, as I've done it recently, but you need to look in places where other basement dwellers hang out like ib's.

    >>51357442
Me too. There's someone I really like and spent months talking to, studying and hanging out with, but I'm afraid they don't reciprocate it to the same degree and it hurts. I can never seem to find someone who's as invested as me in the friendship/relationship/whatever.

    >>51357464
What's going on, big guy? You need to eat and sleep to live, silly.

    >>51357493
This is true too. There's a slim chance someone will take pity on you and try to rescue you from yourself, but it's very unlikely. We live in a cruel world where narcissism is at an all time high. People hate each other so much now and only care about themselves, it's unreal.

I kinda had a girl from a church who helped me a lot in the past, however she was married.

I miss her and she seemed to genuinely care about me, she was like a mom or an older sister. But after some time seems like it will just be harder to find someone like that

Woke up, had breakfast, showered then had to physically go outside for the first time in weeks to pick up some packages with cheapo Chinese decorations, figures, fumos (just one fumo of a nijiura maid really) etc I ordered for Halloween. Came home, unpacked everything, then started working. Now vegging in bed and feeling empty/suicidal, because no amount of useless cancer-inducing , asbestos coated plastic shit that I pack my room with after bouts of impulse buying can fill the all-consuming bottomless void inside.

When i was young my parents put me in different clubs. Sports, intellectual shit, etc. Kids bullied me a lot which made me generally not like group activities or meeting new people. As i grew up i assumed it was because young kids are very annoying, and because i was one back then, i just pissed everyone around me off. But even in school/clubs i visited in my late-teens there was always a group of people who ganged up on me. Figured it's better to just spend time online, so far it's been working out well for me! Usually i just lay in my room with blackout curtains until it gets dark, then i like to look at the night view of my city from time to time.

That's a shame, anon. Sorry to hear, maybe it could've worked out, I don't know.

    >What's your life like and how do you support yourself?
I live with my mom, she does all the heavy lifting. Can't recall the last time I went out by myself. Even the thought of going to a store sounds scary and painful. I don't have a big plan if my mom stops being able to provide for me... Either forcing myself to work just to survive (which sounds even worse than being a NEET), or suicide. I'd rather not kill myself, I don't hate life entirely, but the other choice isn't any better.

    >It's still possible to make friends online imo, as I've done it recently, but you need to look in places where other basement dwellers hang out like ib's
I don't think so, personally. Depends on who and what you want, I suppose. 4chan anons are just overly mentally unstable autists who will leave you suddenly if you're too boring, based on my experience. Likewise with other imageboards, I bet. Discord's the irony poisoned normal idiot haven, so I'd rather not. Where else do you go? I had some ideas but I'm really jaded (and it keeps getting worse the more I try) from the bad experiences.

    >but I'm afraid they don't reciprocate it to the same degree and it hurts. I can never seem to find someone who's as invested as me in the friendship/relationship/whatever
I feel the exact same way, anon, so you're not alone. My friendships have all been temporary and transactional, which makes me not want to bother, and give up entirely, despite frequently wanting to form a long-lasting connection with someone who sincerely cares.

    >There's a slim chance someone will take pity on you and try to rescue you from yourself, but it's very unlikely
    Correct.

    >We live in a cruel world where narcissism is at an all time high. People hate each other so much now and only care about themselves
Also correct. It's one of the reasons why I want to stop trying, and indulge in escapism completely, to try and forget it all, until the real horrors begin. You can ignore reality, but you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring reality, and all that.

    >>51357667
    >But after some time seems like it will just be harder to find someone like that

That sounds rough and reminds me of my own situation up until a few years ago. Perhaps it's worth investing your time into developing some kind of marketable skill, then trying to earn at least some money online? Even if it's pennies at first, it's still worth it in the long run, imo, as your income will likely increase over time. That's how I started off.

    > 4chan anons are just overly mentally unstable autists who will leave you suddenly if you're too boring, based on my experience
Guess I'm just a crazed autist, so people stick around out of morbid curiosity if nothing else.

Relationships where you overcommit and they clearly couldn't care less hurt as hell too, but it's really nice when you finally manage to find someone who's willing to put in the effort and commit to you. It took me many tries and many years, but I did manage to find someone who at least cares about me in some way. I'd say it's worth trying to look for people like that if you can deal with failure time and time again.

    >>
    >>51359935
Because you are paying them. Uber drivers don't drive you because the like you. Hairstylists, personal care attendants, escorts, masseuses, waitresses, showgirls et al just want you money. Unless you are a piss bottle collecting floor shitting walking bag of pus all you have to do is show them the money. Unless you are one of these fucktards that demand they are single and sexless and whatever the fuck else unreality you can conjure up.

Compensated dating (Sponsoring) is the answer anon, remember to be clear about what you want and be assertive. Its also ok to negotiate and you should negotiate, high prices are often set as a brown people deterrent, and their real rates can be much lower. Especially If you're a pleasant person to be around or a good prospect (no women want to stay a whore indefinitely) you might even get discounts and a special price. Though you must also realize that if you look for this type of deal on dedicated websites then these women will have 5-6 other boyfriends beside you and busy schedules. Its much better (and not that uncommon surprisingly) to convince a women outside of the whore industry for this, but its a very difficult path if you're shy. Its more for chads who can get women normally but are too tired of the game in today's world.
But I like sponsoring because you can be shy and still have fun dates and receive kindness, also its easier to communicate with those girls because the expectations are already set (unlike with prostitutes who just want you to cum and be done already).
My last advice is that no woman wants to be a treated like a whore unless she is horny, so the ability to help them forget that they are whores goes a really long way.

I sometimes see this type of post across various boards
    >whore will do shit for you because pay, no matter what
written in this very recognizable inferior aggressive male kind of way, and it just dawned on me that it could be the same faggot posting this shit.

So tell me, do you have any experience with this you nigger or what?

Because I do, and whores are not odd jobs employees. They are whores. Their job is in whoring. If she wanted to do other shit than whoring she would have a real job instead. Also its a dangerous job, weird clients get screened unless you live in some undeveloped country like Indonesia or somewhere where there is a lot of poverty and its difficult for women to make money. Its easier to get a girl to tongue your asshole than to get her to watch anime with you.

Yo bro, is this LARP? This is concernedly pitiful. Have you looked into AI companions or hosting a local one yourself?
Like damn, dude. You know the risks of even meeting with hookers, right? Someone like you can get shook down by a pimp, blackmailed, or completely skimped. Not to mention the criminal record already fucks you harder than any and every body the hooker's been thru.
Amazing larp, mostly because there are people this starved.

Know a guy myself who was refused service by a hooker despite her taking the money, he pulls out a gun in anger, and now he's serving 10 years in prison.
Genuinely seek help via google or AI, then look for a smaller OF woman near you who does cosplays just for the LARPbux.
Less likely, this kind of chick is gonna be stifling laughter when the OP's playing reminding you of your place.

Wouldn't know where to begin with that, even. Although, sure, sounds logical. It's hard to do things and gain motivation for doing generally when you're in a state of depression most of the time. Medication is a waste of time, I don't want to damage my brain further.

    >Guess I'm just a crazed autist, so people stick around out of morbid curiosity if nothing else

    >>
    >>51363708
I wouldn't say it's entirely a LARP. I've just been semi-seriously entertaining the idea of hiring someone to come spend time with me, because I'm too mentally fragile to go outside and make actual friends.

    >hookers
Read the actual thread. I'm not interested in hiring prostitutes at all.

    >concernedly pitiful
There's a reason we are on this site, and one of them is that we're too pitiful to fit in with normies.
    >>
    >>51363708
Also, an AI or whatever can't play a couch coop game with you. And even if it could, it wouldn't be that different from playing an online multiplayer game, which is not what I want.

Not a traditional Hikikomori since I’m forced to go outside of my dorm for class, but still lonely. It’s been some 3 months since starting and I’ve been really isolated. Don’t talk to anyone in class, so nobody knows my name—aside from two of my five professors. I only go out to walk around, or eat at my dining hall alone—most of the time all the seats are taken by people so I unironically stand in a corner to eat. Inside my dorm I hardly talk to my roommate——he’s a genuinely diagnosed autist, but I’m still too anxious to talk to him, neither do I know how to.

Because of this lack of any human interaction, my speaking skills are only diminishing—my writing skills have gotten better though—the only daily interactions I do speak is when telling the dining hall workers what I want, and even though it takes less then thirty-words to do that I still stumble on them. I haven’t kept in contact with my high school friends, and the only people I’ve held conversations with are my parents and older brother via FaceTime and Discord.

I want to hold out hope that time will change by my senior year, but I’m seriously doubting it.
    >>
    >>51365675
One thing I noticed is that people are now much less open to engaging with strangers than they were even some 10 years ago. Even online. Even normies rarely venture outside of their own tightly knit tiny social bubbles these days. It's rough out there for a guy seeking companions or friends, we are living through an age of communication fatigue because everyone has been overstimulated by constant messaging for years, if not decades. So many people online now are in permanent lurk mode and view themselves as passive receivers of information, rather than active participants in an ongoing conversation. They have been conditioned to be perfect brainwashing material. The world now also feels extremely hostile and cruel, so many people these days are greedy, selfish and angry, much more so than in any previous decade after WW2, and this sort of behavior is actively encouraged and promoted by cancerous social media to these scrolling-addicted zombies.

You're not going to find a friend or a companion among any of these people. You need to actively seek out people who refuse to use social media. No one is going to come looking for you, you need to be proactive.

You also need to determine what it is that you're after, what your goal is and what kind of characteristics your "ideal person" has, then try and think where to find people like that and how to approach them. It can be a board game club or some hobby group or whatever, or it can even be a multiplayer video game or a message board where you can interact with people. There are all kinds of places for "misfits" like us.

Just don't let yourself get groomed or emotionally manipulated into taking hormones or something like that by some psycho preying on the weak.

I'm In my 3rd year of uni and rarely go out for anything other than classes but I don't feel too down about it at this point. I live with my parents to save money and my commute to campus is like 30 minutes so I rarely go to club meetings cause its such a hassle to go. I have friends who force me to go out and do stuff sometimes though so i'm not completely alone.

Unless your campus is extremely small there should be clubs you might find interesting. These are basically the easiest way to make friends and how I met most of my friends first. at my campus and most clubs I've seen they even have a buddy system where you fill out a form and get matched up with someone else in the club.
like >>51366022 mentioned you should have a good idea of what type of people you vibe with and then go to clubs where you might meet them. You will likely never meet someone who refuses to use modern social media though.
what I will mention is that if you want to meet other 'otaku' who have passion then you are shit out of luck. Even in 'nerd' clubs everyone I meet is either a normie or failed normie (see picrel). In my entire time at uni I have yet to meet anyone who wasn't just into the current fotm. This is the biggest reason why I don't feel obligated to meet new people anymore. I know whoever I meet will just be a normie or failed normie.
don't let this discourage you from going out though. My friends are all on the failed normie side but they are generally good people.

I'm 23 and suffer from schizophrenia. I've had multiple hiki periods over the years, the longest being when I was 17 which lasted for a year. About a year ago I was so tired of how my life was that I made the decision to change. I started going to a course at my local college, I surprisingly made a lot of friends but recently things have gotten hard. I've had 3 major psychotic episodes this year, I've been practically abandoned by the mental health system and my relationships have become strained. For the last few weeks I've been struggling with my illness and almost none of my friends have reached out to or asked to hang out or even talk on the phone. And today I just was overcome by it all and just thought "What the fuck is wrong with everyone? I'm a good friend to all of them. I listen to their problems, I'm their for them when they need it but when I'm going through the shit nobody is here for me. Are they scared of me because I'm schizophrenic? I don't want anything from you all. Maybe some warmth, maybe a hug. How much is a little bit of fucking decency? What is it with you people?" and so I was talking to someone and they asked me a question, can't remember what it was, and I thought "Not only do I not want to answer that question but I don't want to answer any question or ever see any of these people ever again."

So I just thought "That's it" and so now I'm retreating into my home for however long I want to. I need some kind of reset to build myself back up again and pick up the pieces but I don't know how I'm going to arrange this exactly. I guess I'll have to start by doing it in the mental hospital.

But as long as I know the shape of my soul, I'll be alright
