Buzz Rhythm editionThis is a thread to discuss all-female Japanese bands that play their own instruments. That certainly includes Koiai, Band-Maid, Hanabie, Hagane, Lovebites, NEK!, East of Eden, Scandal, Bridear, PaleNeO, Lonesome Blue, and what is left of Nemophila and STMLT.Individual female instrumentalists and singer-songwriters are also welcome. As for the frequently asked questions:>why on /jp/?Because this thread is about Japanese popular culture. Also, the subject is not too far off from other 3D content on /jp/. A good number of artists discussed here are also former (or even current) idols, gravure models and voice actresses.>The band I like includes men. Are they allowed in this thread?Just post about the female members then.>Is this thread only about metal? No, go ahead and post about pop and jazz if you feel like it.

PaleNeO has a regular column in Gekirock - the sixth installment, about songwriting, was just posted. It looks like Reoto does much of the composition and she and Hohomi split the lyrics.https://gekirock.com/column/paleneo/202610.php
>>51343150Hanabie fans are huffing the copium about Chika's picture being used for the announcement. What caught my eye was that Hanabie called this show a part of their world tour. That should mean we get some shows in Europe and Asia as well!
>>51344168reoto so cute
Best Yukina will perform with a couple of foreign tumblrina revival artists. It seems fitting, since she herself is stuck in the endless /cgl/ loop of white girls trying to look like Japanese girls trying to look like white girls trying to look like Japanese girls and so on.
>>51344168Do you think PaleneO has a shot at profiting from next year's hiatuses and quitters?
>>51346415I don't see why not - they create new material and tour regularly, are fun and eclectic, and thanks to some early covers have some awareness from the Band-Maid fans. Not having a drummer in the band will be a handicap they will have to deal with, however.
>>51346497>Not having a drummer in the band will be a handicap they will have to deal with, however.Maybe they can convince Natsumi to tour with them. She seems to be quite open to such gigs lately.
>>51346557Possibly - I am waiting to see if LustQueen decides to raise their activity now Fami is also available for a year, and Natsumi just worked with them. Sakitee from STMLT is also available and may be a good fit as well. And they've worked with Kanako before so if they could convince her to join...
As for bands stepping up in 2027... I think Hagane is ready to take on the role as lead melodic power metal band in Lovebites's absence, and Nek! should take advantage of Scandal's retirement. I don't see any band, not even Nek!, taking Band-Maid's spot, they're too different from anyone else, but I can see most of the other bands listed in the OP getting more time on larger stages than before as the venues need someone. And of course there's an entire second tier of all-female bands looking for a chance, and who knows, someone entirely new may break out.
>>51346812Hagane will take Lovebites' spot for sure. Zilqy will try and fail to do the same.I don't think a lot of Scandal fans will get into NEK!. NEK! is too much of a technical band for that.Caramel Candid will continue to blow up probably, but Scandal and Band-Maid fans are not really the audience they are succeeding the most with.
Hanabie will perform on the wamens stage at Sonic Temple.Fortunately for them, Emmure is not performing on the same day, so Frankie will leave them alone.
>>51348593They're playing with The Warning. Do you think they'll have futa girl cock lesbian sex with each other?
>>51348615Vana might be up for that. But she is not performing on the same day.
Lisa X got hoverhanded by her old guitar teacher.
>>51348593>poppy>violent vira>hanabieGreat artists, too bad it's surrounded by all that other shitAnd wtf is Poppy doing on the rap stage
>>51349931>And wtf is Poppy doing on the rap stageThe same as Hanabie on the idol stage of Summer Sonic this year: being the rear end of a scheduler's mistake.

Lovebites at Full Metal Japan. Apparently they allowed photography as an exception to the general rule against it for domestic acts, so there should be content appearing soon.
More Matsuri
>>51351395Related: Miyako with Michael Schenker
>>51351761Midori with much taller guitarists, she even lampshaded this.
>>51351395>>51351761>>51351763Sakura was there too, albeit only as an attendee.
Do we have any faith in their upcoming record?
>>51352063Saki was there too.
>>51353669I love how she put the backstage pass sticker on her leg to not ruin her clothes.
MinasThousand of them!
E'sekai performed at the Taiwanese high school band contest finals, presumably representing 中華民國琉球縣.
>>51351761Haruna with Michael Schenker - none of this hoverhand bollocks with good ol' Michael.
And a bunch of band shots - I forgot just how freaking tall Adrian Vandenberg is, he's like 6'7" or something.
>>51356166That's right! Good old Adje is almost two meters.
Hanabie announced a gig in Hawaii. Chika is on the poster again, and this time it was shared by the band themselves. She might be coming back after all.
Hagane's Halloween show is up on Nico, no login needed but may not work everywhere. I think only the first half hour is free.https://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv351593985

>>51358035Their Xitter account got hacked by some crypto spammer. Great promotion for their cybersecurity sponsor!
>>51358035This year's Halloween outfits.>>51358100Yeah, that's embarrassing...
>>51358694For me, it's Sayaka
Angelic Saki.
>>51358951
>>51360087Her signature fish nets make the outfit even better.
>>51358694Nagi and Sayaka look amazing and Sakura looks insane
Looks like Lisa X and Hazuki are done with the platform boots.
>>51352063She did get to meet up with the guys from Angra in the end. They went out for yakiniku with her friend Senoue-san.
Happy birthday, Kanade! 24 today.
>>51362415So much for not having any friends, Sakura!
>>51362736Arguably she did better than the Lovebites girls, if all they got was a brief chat and a photo op.
>>51363029Next year it will be time for her to show she can also do better than Lovebites on stage.>>51362417Tell me Anon, do you think she is the best drummer in an all-female Japanese band now that Tamu is out?
>>51363235I would rank her in the same tier with Akane, Haruna, Junna, and perhaps Mizuki. I wouldn't rank them individually as they are different enough to make comparisons between them difficult.
>>51363411How nuanced!>MizukiShe's a class act for telling her fans exactly what kind of injury she was dealing with earlier this week, and when she expects to be back. That's how you keep the fans' imaginations from running wild.
Another festival gig has been announced for Hanabie. Florida must be a good place to play Be the Gal.
It looks like the ongoing hacker drama with Hagane is getting in the way of announcing new European tour dates. At least one venue is already selling tickets before the band themselves have announced anything about the gig.
KakuMero had their Halloween show, they even had a new song especially for the show.https://x.com/kakumei_mero/status/2116189378938892631
>>51367292Those are some lucky men in the audience.
Trident has a new look, somewhat inspired by Nek! and Hanabie it seems. Some new music from them would be nice.
We finally got another E'sekai pro shoot.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwIJ5Xco-T0I do think Miyu and Nanami should work on differentiating their voices. They sound too similar.
