Just finished Mahoyo. It was great I really reaaally loved it. Such a cool story. I liked the production value. Great ost and visuals and sound design. Most importantly I liked the lore and the things I learned on the Nasuverse and all things type-moon related. It really made put things into perspective for me since I first started with Fate Zero 12 years ago and only little by little over the years worked my way through it all even through FGO until right now.

Just finished Akiha's route. I didn't really like it. I liked Akiha when she was just a cold little sister but now that she became a lover she became kind of bland. I liked the lore behind the Nanaya and Tohno families, it was cool and got me excited for that part in the remake. Not sure if I should read Kohaku and Hisui's route now since it was kind of meh with Akiha

Alright so I finally finished all of og Tsukihime with the Eclipse scene and everything. I have to say I'm very dispointed in the far side routes.First of all the fact that we get three more love interest kind of cheapens these romance stories. I cared a lot about Arcueid, then I cared a bit about Ciel, then I care less with Akiha.. so on and so forth until I got to Kohaku and I was like "yeah whatever I don't really care". Then I think there's just too many repetitions in dialogues and the way things play out. I'm really surprised that all these routes are so long when so little actually happens in the span of 11-13 days. Oh well whatever, I wanted to talk more about it but now I realize that nobody actually cares and nobody will discuss with me as usual so I'll just say that I at least liked the lore bits between the Tohno and Nanaya families and how it all tied everything up in the end.

Kohaku route was written in like 17 days. Fate was supposed to be two separate VNs, eventually Ilya and Sakura route had to be merged, and then FSN blew up in 2004. Got an prequel novel, anime, PS2 port, countless spinoffs. Nasu wanted to go back and remake Mahoyo and Tsukihime in 2008, he just got chose Fate spinoffs instead.
Being holed up in the Tohno mansion discovering secrets and going insane was my favourite part of Tsukihime but I can understand people seeing it as uneventful.

As for the big amount of love interests, i personally didn't had that feeling because both Kohaku and Hisui were cutest things ever so romancing them seemed very natural. Only Akiha was a bit too much of a tsundere, but not like it was that bad.
The schizo moments are my favorite part of the far side routes (including in the bad ends).I hope Red Garden goes even further with them.
