Been reading Gun Knight Girl, just got Renka's route done.Very much a we have Muv-Luv Unlimited at home but it's pretty good.First time I've ever seen a route where the entire plot is the heroine being gaslit and going insane, even if the twist is pretty obvious, but it's a good time and her stabbing herself is enough to make you wonder if maybe she really is crazy.

Playing Flyable Heart, and I mostly enjoyed the common route except for some tedious things like the zombie event and the water gun fight. It was pure filler that could have been used to develop the characters instead. I also ended up like Yui way more than I thought, she is very cute and adorable despite being a silly harapeko character I've seen a thousand times already.Now I'm starting Sakurako's route and I'm not convinced by their relationship at all. The MC is extremely passive and can't even be bothered to plan a date or even confess his feelings, while Sakurako is the typical gentle nice girl who just happened to chase after the boy closest to her (MC). She comes off as very pathetic and not likable in my eyes. How did the writers make me dislike a Toono Basedogi character? Shame on them. I hope her route gets better because at this point I couldn't care less about her.

Putting heavy emphasis on phonetics is the one thing I would change if I could learn Japanese again. I spent way too much time trying to read articles, manga, and books in my early learning phase. You can do that eventually obviously, but I'd recommend it for when you have more vocab under your belt first. Look through the vndb tag for "dialogue-heavy." The more time spend listening while reading from the text box the better. You don't want to just listen, but consciously mentally map the sounds to words.
